So, last night, i had a lucid dream. I have them probably once every one-two weeks. So there I was, flying around, then I decided to create a flying car to drive in. Cool, cool. All cool.

Then, I arrived at some place where a bunch of friends and family were. We were all sitting on picnic benches, eating and dicking around for some reason.

Then, I remembered previous stories about how dream characters get really weird when you tell them they’re in a dream. Like fucking supernatural weird. So I decided to do it for some reason, even though I was scared.

So I stand up on the benches and go, “Hey guys! Guys! You all know we’re in a dream, right?”

Then everyone goes QUIET. For too long. Like a solid 10 seconds of quiet. And then I started to get real scared. I thought they were gonna attack me or some shit I swear.

I then woke up and kicked myself internally for fucking up one of my most lucid dreams yet.

What a good day

It was a good dream. I refreshed my email and three schools accepted me. I was confused because I was a sophomore, but wasn’t gonna complain

And then I woke up :(

I got this for Christmas back when Saturn was still on the market, and without fail I play it at least once in December. Still my favorite Xmas game.

Curious if anyone else has the “play it at the holiday” tradition game?

This was by far and away Yuji Naka's best game. It's an early illustration of how games can be art. Naka proved through level design and gameplay you could create a cohesive story with virtually no narrative. Armed only with metaphors and imagery; the story is imparted in a way that no other art form could allow.

In my 15 years owning NiGHTS on Saturn; I never realized any of this. It was only when I repurchased this game recently that I started seeing how brilliant the story is. I won't ruin the imagery and the different ways it relates to the overall theme. I will say however that it's a timeless coming of age story. Each and every piece of scenery is a metaphor for growing up. One can quite literally relive different phases of their childhood through this imagery.

When I say every piece of scenery, art, gameplay, and level design. I mean it quite literally. It was all designed metaphorically to relate to the process of maturing into an adult. You could write a book about how the art can be interpreted alone.

Not only this, but it's so simple anyone can complete the game. Yet so complex you'll never be able to truly master the tracks. If you're a Sonic fan and want a sense of speed; this game gives it to you like no other. By taking away the platforming elements. The developers could focus the gameplay on acrobatic moves and highscoring through high speeds with few obstacles to slow you down.

The dynamic/evolving music engine was also quite novel and innovative. By nurturing the nightopians, breading them with the nightmarens, or destroying the nightopians the moods of the creatures would change. Depending on their mood the music would change slightly. This system allows the music to stay fresh and familiar, but never truly repetitive. Being able to interact with the nightopians in such a unique fashion really gave some players a bond with the world of NiGHTS.

The Steam port is pretty good, you're going to wantr a controller for it.

I don't usually find virtual pinball games fun compared to the real thing - but I always play this one in the casino for some reason.

Also, is Nights into Dreams a fun game? Never tried it

when i finally arrived somewhere up in the clouds there was like an apartment block there was bunch of dudes there and no one was talking about how they got there

So I actually practiced meditation for quite long time but recently became interested in LD so tried to use my practice and see what it does... The thing is I'm not visual person so all I'm practicing is body scans.

So last night I started doing it and kept focusing on moving energy in my body while feeling relaxed in my mind as falling asleep.. In general body scan always felt great like warmth or tingling moving and relaxing muscles for me. But yesterday after 40 min or so (I usually don't do more than 20) as my mind started to drift off there was some sudden shake and I felt this scary force that moved on its own. like instead of relaxing light it was a battering ram moving from bottom up through my body making it own way. It was not painful but so strong I honestly felt it will break my bones or tear muscles if I make even slight mistake. I was terrifying since I had to predict where it moves and somewhat "make room" for it.. I somehow managed to distance myself from it when it was around upper back and fell asleep (I remember dream after that but if wasn't LD) I'm still kind scared because it felt way too real.

I know I might try again but even then I fell like I might get in trouble trying to resist it... Also the idea of this hitting my brain sounds scary to me now.. well that's how its went.. what do you think?

Coinbase was having problems loading, so I kept trying to reload it. The price on loopring kept changing erratically, making the app glitch out. By the time the app finally calmed down enough to give me a solid reload, my precious lööps were up to $50. Is it moon time yet?
