Ralf Schumacher, commentator for Sky Germany, revealed during the race that he believes Nico Hülkenberg will receive between 300,000 and 500,000 euros for his efforts.
Of course he has no insider information, but it is the first estimate of someone who at least knows real comparative values. So take this with a grain of salt.
So as rumours intensify of Nico Hülkenberg signing for Red Bull and is more preferred than Checo Perez, a certain group of F1 fans on Twitter are going a wee bit mad over Nico Hulkenberg being Max Verstappen’s teammate and do not like it as Checo is more deserving
The main argument towards Nico is that he got beat by Sergio Perez and he has no podiums and he is a ‘Average Driver’ or just decent at best
But is this the case?
No, Nico and Sergio were only separated by 12 points over 3 Years and Nico was matching Sergio in race pace and qualifying.
Nico had 12 retirements over 3 years compared to Checo’s 4 and had lost a decent amount of podium finishes due to bad luck.
Going back to the Red Bull talk, I really like both drivers but Nico is the driver I reckon that will partner Max for 2021, Nico is a very quick and reliable driver to go up alongside Max and has no issues with teammates in the past.
Checo is a similar to Hulk, Fast and Reliable and pull podiums out his back pocket. But Sergio has had issues with Teammates in the past and Red Bull will not want Sergio to cause harm within the team and the past will cause to harm Sergio going forward.
