A list of puns related to "Nick Valensi"
So I recently became a proud owner of a Valensi P-94 Riviera and I have to know if other owners have experienced the following: the pickups will drive a tube amp into overdrive without any pedals (just guitar straight into amp). Iβve lowered the height but itβs still slightly overdriven and not at all what I would call βcleanβ.
Just saw Nick On TV at the game. So cool.

Iβve been looking for one of these at a decent price for forever and now I finally have one. Just arrived in the mail today! https://imgur.com/gallery/I83tdUj
Hey everyone. Iβm thinking of covering Reptilia with some friends and doing the Nick Valensi part. I was wondering how to get his iconic overdriven/high endish tone on a tele. Most the covers Iβve seen are with an ES 335 so how could I get a similar tone? Iβm getting a Behringer Overdrive for Christmas and Iβve also got a ProCo Rat and Amoon PockRock. Thanks!
May be looking to off load one soon.
Hello,
I'm currently going through my favorite guitarists' catalogs and studying their songs/solos. I've mainly been studying how these guitarists move beyond scales by utilizing arpeggios/modes corresponding to the underlying chord tones. I've just "finished" a 2 year study of John Frusciante and John Mayer which really helped my understanding of when & how to utilize Mixolydian, Dorian, and Natural Minor solos found in popular rock and blues music.
I don't see Nick Valensi mentioned on this sub ever but I love the chord progressions the Strokes use and Nick seems to have pretty good technical chops. I'd like to focus my next chapter of study on his playing. Are any Strokes fans willing to share what techniques (specific scale/mode patterns, soloing with specific intervals, & arpeggio shapes) that you have noticed Nick seems to use?
