A list of puns related to "Nick Chubb"
Nick Chubb going into his fourth season as outperformed any reasonable expectations. Arguably outside of Derrick Henry there's no better running back and even with comparing to Henry, Chubb simply doesn't have to do the same workload with Hunt on the roster. The time for extension is close at hand. With our analytical ran front office do the Browns even give Chubb a huge contract? Looking at the roster Browns other big name is Wyatt Teller whose at this moment just has one excellent season and not much else from a data point of view. I fully expect the team to move on from Njoku. However next year the Browns have Baker Mayfield and Denzel Ward. Do the Browns let Chubb walk in order to have the cap flexibility to pay Baker and Ward? From a moneyball point of view running back is replaceable far easier than say a CB or a QB. What to people think the roster is going to look like in two years from now?
Just to be clear I'm not comparing Chubb to Javonte but could not ignore the similarity to their landing spots.
Have been hearing a ton of negative feedback on Javonte landing in Denver so wanted to point this out.
Chubb: Drafted 2.03 in 2018
Javonte: Drafted 2.03 in 2021
Chubb: Behind 28 year old starter with 1 year on his contract (Carlos Hyde)
Javonte: Behind 28 year old starter with 1 year on his contract (Melvin Gordon)
Chubb: Enters team with young up and coming defense
Javonte: Enters team with young up and coming defense
Chubb: League winner when Hyde gets traded
Javonte: ?
Of course Gordon is a more talented runner than Hyde, however don't forget Hyde was the RB8 the year before Chubb was drafted. Gordon was the RB14 last year.
Hey Reddit!
It's Day 98 of this offseason series where we discuss a different player's fantasy value each day as a group. We are 109 days away from the NFL season opener now!
Each day we'll drop a name, include some thoughts on that player, and you can respond with your thoughts in the comments.
Today's Discussion: Nick Chubb (RB, Cleveland Browns)
The Good With Nick Chubb
Run Heavy Offense: The Cleveland Browns had 495 rushing attempts last year. Of these carries they gave their tailbacks 430 carries (2nd most in the NFL, only behind Tennessee Titans).
Pure Rushing Talent: Nick Chubb has averaged at least 5.0 YPC in each of his first three seasons in the NFL. He posted a broken tackle % of 25.3%, had 65.8% of his yards after contact (averaging 3.7 yards after contact per play), had 14 breakaway runs (2nd in the NFL according to PlayerProfiler), and created 3.15 yards per touch (1st in the NFL according to PlayerProfiler). He is easily one of the most talented running backs in the league.
Offensive Line: The Cleveland Browns had the number one offensive line in 2020 according to PFF. They will be bringing back all their starters on the line from last season and have the best offensive line coach in the league in Bill Callahan.
The Concerns With Nick Chubb
Receiving Workload: Nick Chubb was targeted just 18 times last year (16 receptions for 150 receiving yards). His best receiving season ever was in 2019 where he caught 36 passes on 49 targets for 278 receiving yards, and doesnβt have nearly the same receiving upside as most of the other top fantasy RB picks like Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley, etc.
Kareem Hunt: Kareem Hunt got a sizable workload of his own last year carrying the ball 198 times for 841 rushing yards and 6 r

Wondering what you all would sell for, is this one of last year ls you could get max value out of him?
My league is going to ppr this year two future firsts. I dont feel great about it but probably am not a serious contender until 23 if I'm realistic
