A list of puns related to "Newcastle Eagles"
I recently started watching soccer which I think people from the old world call "football"? I don't understand it because football already exists here in the first world? but that doesn't matter right now.
Anyway, as I said I recently started watching "football" in my local sporting "pub" and I had an England drink called Newcastle brown ale! I don't understand why it is called brown even though the team wears black and white to fight the racism but I really liked to watch the all in saint max in man guy.
Should I support the Newcastle stripers? I think they are going to be a fun team to follow because they are not on top like Manchester united blues which is similar to my team, the Philadelphian eagles (LETS GO EAGLES)
EDIT 09/07/2021: seems like they have cracked down again now and are only doing eight weeks plus for second doses.
Just been to the walk in and got jabbed with my second Pfizer after 3 and a half weeks. Apparently vaccines due to expire on Friday so they need them in arms. Was in and out didnβt have to queue.
Hi all! As part of a research project I'm a part of at my work that looks at various factors that can lead to sporting success, our team has been researching and putting together detailed data on the most successful sporting clubs across the world in every team sport! Here is our data for basketball.
We've looked at every competitive top-flight club basketball competition in the world, taking into account all officially recognised trophies. For NBA teams, this encompasses the NBA Finals (Larry O'Brien Trophy, previously the Walter A. Brown Trophy) and any of the Eastern, Western and (now defunct) Central Conference Finals. Outside the US and Canada, it encompasses all domestic league championships as well as any domestic cups and continental competitions that are part of the domestic calender. Non-competitive awards such as pre-season/friendly competitions as well as unofficial awards such as divisional series and wildcard-type qualification berths in the NBA are not counted as they are not recognized as titles by their respective league and you do not get anything for them.
The list we've produced is a top 100, and unfortunately it means that the most successful club in the BBL, the Newcastle Eagles, miss out on making it by 1 honour with their (still very impressive) total of 6 BBL Championships, 6 BBL Trophy wins and 6 BBL Cup wins. Had we extended the list to a top 115 or 120 however, they would have made their way in!
Enjoy!

Visited Philly as a kid, fell in love with the place. Recently discovered my love for American football so the Eagles were a natural choice. So what I'm asking is, how do I best enjoy the game against Dallas? I'd like suggestions for food/drink and other stuff? Thanks. Also, fuck Dallas.
Iβm a philly native expat here in the lovely northeast. This could be the year...are there any bars which show NFL or any fans who want to arrange to watch and eat some hot wings?

With the African Cup starting this week there is a huge opportunity for scouting networks and clubs to discover a new gem from the continent.
Since the turn of the century many of the tournament best playerβs have made their mark in Europeβs club game and beyond, with a great portion developing into household names.
There have been 11 Africa Cup of Nations this century, and hereβs a rundown of the Player of the Tournament from each edition of the cup, and where they are now.
2000 β Lauren (Cameroon) β Broadcaster
Winners: Cameroon | Hosts: Ghana/Nigeria | Top scorer: Shaun Bartlett (South Africa)
We begin with the millennium tournament, won by Cameroon after prevailing over Nigeria in a penalty shoot out in the final. Lauren was selected as the player of the tournament, and whilst heβs often known as a full back, he operated in midfield for the eventual champions.
In that summer, he would join Arsenal from Mallorca. Having quickly established himself as the number one right back at the club, Lauren would win a pair of Premier League and FA Cup trophies under Arsene Wenger.
Cool on the ball with some of the strongest dribbling on any full back at the time (hence his ability to play in midfield), and even a decent strike on him. Lauren was most known for his lightning pace in the recovery and solid one-versus-one tackling. All these traits served his perfectly as part of the 2003/04 Invincibles, etching his name into the footballing history books forevermore as a result.
Following Arsenal, he joined Portsmouth, where he was part other another fairly formidable defensive set up, adding another FA Cup to his trophy cabinet too. He returned to Spain after this, retiring in the country for which he has dual nationality, and taking up roles in broadcasting, mainly covering La Liga matches.
2002 β Rigobert Song (Cameroon) β Manager
Winners: Cameroon | Hosts: Mali | Top scorer: Julius Aghahowa (Nigeria)
Cameroonβs leading appearance maker, Rigobert Song helped his nation to a consecutive penalty shootout victory, getting his hands on the trophy for a second time despite missing his spot kick in the contest. Having seen off Senegal in the final, he beat out the likes of Seydou Keita, El Hadji Diouf and Julius Aghahowa to the induvial award.
Song is well documented as being the first Cameroonian player to ever feature for Liverpool and the summer after the tournament he would leave West Ham for KΓΆln on loan, prior to a permanen

1. Aaron Hickey, 19 (Bologna) - Left-back
Since landing at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara for a fee of just Β£1.5m from Heart of Midlothian in September 2020, itβs fair to say Aaron Hickey has went from boy to man since his time in the Scottish Premiership.
Hickey kicked off his Bologna career on a positive note in 2020 starting in 8 of the Red and Blues first 10 Serie A fixtures of the 2020/21 season. This run would abruptly come to an end at the beginning of December, however. Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi would share no Christmas joy with the then 18 year-old Scotsman, as they tore him to shreds at the San Siro - leading to Hickey being hooked on the 63rd minute. The 3-1 loss to Inter was only the beginning of Hickeyβs problems as only days later he caught covid-19. With a serviceable back-up in experienced former Ajax and Norwich City defender Mitchell Dijks filling in for Hickey whilst he was stuck with the ronaβ, the young Scotsman only spent 74 minutes on the pitch between December and February. Not many more would be to come though, as his first start back saw him sent for an early shower due to a reckless and lazy challenge on Mert MΓΌldur against Sassuolo leading to a straight red card. The final nail on the coffin of Hickeyβs first Bologna season was a shoulder injury which put him out for the rest of the campaign due to surgery. A season which started with such promise, but faded into misery.
This season Hickey has properly announced himself to Football Italia. Mitchell Dijks has been made to make way for one of Serie Aβs best young talents, as Hickey has featured in all 19 of the Greyhounds Serie A outings. The two footed full back has improved drastically, and the biggest improvement for me is his defending one-on-one. Hickeyβs tendency to βdive into the challengeβ was my main criticism of him both with Hearts and Bologna, however this season heβs a player whoβs looked a lot more assured and intelligent in the challenge when one-on-one with his attacker. Going forward heβs been just as sol

I have a hard drive of thousands of league games going back to the early 70s and this is one game that I've always wanted to watch again and have in my collection. I would be more than happy to swap/trade some of my games. I have my games archived and on a spreadsheet.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
