A list of puns related to "New England Westinghouse Company"
So lads I have a chance to purchase a 1915 Westinghouse Mosin but the front hand guard and top guard were both taken off and i was wondering what I could do to restore it to its original condition? Would I purchase a new M91 hand guard? Ill post some pics in the comments.
One of my regular customers at work recently bought a cheap Mosin Nagant and wanted me to check it out and see if we could identify it. Turns out it's a New England Westinghouse with the imperial eagle cartouche on the stock. The bolt is Finn matched. Knowing they were all marked 1915, are there any other markings that may help date it from their production years?
Edit: just found out he got it for $250
Saw one for sale nearby yesterday for $250, thinking if picking it up, what do you guys think?
the companies that manufactured my tv and remote produce nuclear energy
Allow me to preface this post with this quote:
"Ironically, all New England Westinghouse M91s are dated 1915 regardless of the actual year of production, which continued until 1918." -7.62x54r.net
I always had a soft spot for Remington M91s, with never any real interest peaked in the New England Westinghouse side of things in the manufacturing of American made mosin. That statement alone drove the interest up enough to buy one. Pictures in the auction link provided. I'll get some up as soon as she arrives and I have her picked up!
Cheers!

Went to the land today with a friend of mine. After putting a few groups down to get used to how it shoots, It grouped fairly well.
~60yards Target is old campaign sign, and my shooting of it does not reflect my views, it was just a handy target.
Avg. Group One of the better groups we got today was the 3 shots inside the blue circle, the other holes are from my friend. I would have marked them, but the file size was too large for Imgur. Something awesome happened when we went downrange though. We were shooting into really hard rocky soil, and several projectiles were discovered. Oddly, some of the cores and jacket fragments were just sitting there in the dirt, and stuck in this stump. Here is what we collected. We were shooting silver tip surplus, and all that was collected stuck very well to a magnet. Steel alloy core or what? What do you think? I see a severe lack of deformation here to just be lead...
Hi all,
I am deeply unhappy in my current role. I applied for a job at another company a few days ago that seemed a good fit.
Today, I had a 1:1 with my current line manager and she told me that she knew I had applied externally. I pressed her on this and she said an employee working at the company I applied for told her. I found out they were good friends.
Have any laws been broken? I feel pretty violated that my personal information was shared with my current company. Doesn't bode well for my current role or the role I have applied for.
Edit: I don't have any tangible evidence other than what my line manager told me so may be difficult to prove.
Crosspost - not sure if this is the right way to do this but link to the most outrageous thing I've ever seen is below - source is a budtender in Brookline.
