A list of puns related to "New College, Oxford"

Stumbled across this in an /r/videos comment section. No need to skip around to find it, the first two minutes will do, though I highly suggest experiencing the whole piece.
Isn't it a bit unfair?
I googled it and the only vaguely satisfactory explanation I found was that Oxford and Cambridge students are educated within their colleges while other unis with a collegiate system educate all students altogether, but why should that matter in a general knowledge quiz? It's not People in the Same Class Challenge. Universities with more than one campus aren't allowed to enter more than one team even if students never overlap.
Follow up question: Does it matter? Would University Challenge be less dominated by Oxbridge if they could only enter one team each?
