Me and my friends need a new netball team name but we can't think of anything Anyone got any ideas
Nike are the new apparel sponsor for our netball team for the upcoming season. With ISC pulling out of AFL clubs at the end of this season, is it safe to assume that we will see the famous swoosh on the Black and White stripes next year?
Iβll keep this short. Iβve just joined a new netball team for this year and today (like in about 20 minutes) is when our first training session is supposed to start. I barely know any of my team mates and Iβm worried that theyβre going to start training and Iβm not even going to realise, which will lead to me awkwardly having to go over and join. I donβt even know who to look for. They could have already started and I wouldnβt even know. Iβm honestly contemplating just leaving and not having to deal with it. This is really just a vent, but any advice/confidence boosts are welcome.
Ok, so some backstory here, after having battled some solid mental health issues and being removed from a holiday over it, I made the tough decision to take a break from my relationship, and eventually due to her harassing my family and friends over it, broke up with her.
Now, while we were dating, i became solid friends with her friends. I knew two of them from my own friends, but as we all interacted, i became the boy of the group (full group of girls), as well as my best mate, and even after the breakup, ive still been friends with most of them. One night, we were talking about netball (me and my girlfriend had been playing in a local mixed comp) and they put forward the idea of us putting together a team. I didnt think too much of this until one of the girls (who i was friends with before the relationship) brought it up again.
My dilemma is that they need a minimum of 7 players to sign up for the competition, and as of now, they only have 6 players. I know it would highly anger my ex-girlfriend if i did join, but they are partially depending on me to join so they could sign up, and i have enjoyed playing in this comp. WIBTA if i did join the team?
I miss netball and want to play again.
Prefer 7-a-side outdoor rules, but also happy to play 6-a-side "action" netball
Don't have enough mates to make my own team, so would love to find a team to join.

I'm asking on behalf of a Japanese girl who has become interested in the sport after seeing games on TV. She's generally sporty and has played other sports but had never previously even heard of netball.
Any suggestions of any parks or whatever, where she could rock up and ask to join?

I'm (34/f) looking for a casual netball team or individual to train with. I used to play a huge amount (5-10 games a week) up until my early 20s and i love the sport but ive gotten insanely unfit since and im not ready to commit to actual games yet (bad knees, fat ass).
I understand this is a quite a bit to ask of any proper team so even if there's just someone out there that wants to get together and do some drills and ball skills as some casual exercise that'd be rad. Get in touch. This fatty wants to get fit again.
