A list of puns related to "National Insurance Company Limited"
I am in England.
On 9th November '21, MCE Insurance Limited Company informed me that they were no longer permitted to place new business or renewals and that my policy would continue to run. In communications on the 14th November and 22nd November, it was reiterated that my policy would continue to run. Today, 11th January 2022, MCE Insurance Company limited have indicated that my policy will be cancelled on 31st January 2022. I have the following questions, and answers are appreciated. I additionally intend to call my insurer to establish their position.
This means I have now had an insurance policy cancelled and, despite it being no fault of mine, my understanding is I am legally obligated to declare it. Is this correct? (Edit to add: It has been pointed out to me that my insurance hasn't been cancelled yet, and so if I take out a policy to begin prior to the 31st I wouldn't need to declare it. Is that right?)
I pay for my premiums monthly, and my creditor is MCE Insurance Limited Company. The contract for my insurance is being explicitly terminated, but my contract for the monthly payments appears not to have been. Am I still obligated to pay them, or may I terminate my CPA as of the 31st January 2022 (or sooner)?
I'll follow up to answers if additional questions arise. This has fallen in an already costly month, so I'm a little bit internal screaming about it. I appreciate everyone's time.

My parents rented a vehicle to travel from the Mainland to Vancouver Island through a national rental company. My mom took time-stamped pictures of the vehicle both at pick up (where minor scratches were documented on both sides of be vehicle) and at drop off of the vehicle (to prove that there was no damage).
Drop-off of the vehicle occurred a day earlier and during off-hours. The keys were dropped off as advised by Enterprise. There were no problems and no damages to the car although there was no walk-around due to the fact that my parents dropped if off when the business was closed.
3 days later, my parents received an additional approximately $250 dollars from the company. My mom called and disputed the additional charge and was tossed back and forth between the pick-up and drop-off locations until, finally, the manager at the pick up site confirmed that the cause of the charge was a βpreventative maintenanceβ charge from the drop off site due to cigarette smoke smell (which was actually present at pick up) and reversed the charge. The drop off site was contacted by phone and said that was the only concern.
Now, 13 days later, my parents have received an email from their Damage Recovery division requesting my parents supply credit card and/or insurance information for damages. My mom phoned again and the claim is, apparently, for scratches documented by photos at the original pick up so not obtained during their rental. The claim is now with the companyβs dispute resolution division and we are not able to speak to the site making the claim to show them the photos and get them to drop the claim against us as they will not answer the phone.
We think that the guys at the pick-up site did not document damages in writing from the previous renting party. The drop-off site, now frustrated by having the βpreventive maintenance chargeβ for smoking disputed, are trying to get something else to charge us with.
This is a fraudulent claim by a national agency and my parents should not have to fork out cash (or a considerable deductible) to support this claim.
What other steps should my parents take to protect themselves?

Hi
I've registered a ltd company in the UK and will be starting trading as a consultant in September. I am the sole director and there are 2 shareholders me and my wife. I will likely be employing my wife.
I have a professional body membership so will be getting professional indemnity insurance for the consultancy work I'm doing,
What other insurance is essential?
I believe as a ltd company I must have employer liability event though my one employee is a close relation - correct?
What about public liability? - I will be working from home remotely and will occasionally travel to clients offices
Directors/officers insurance?
Many thanks
So I'm considering accepting a new job with a big science institute, but because of their public-good mission they're exempt from paying national insurance. (I've checked with multiple lawyers and other people in the field, the company is totally legitimate and what they're doing is above board.)
It's a fixed term contract, I'm not being "self employed" and I'm still employed in the UK (not the EU). I just can't work out how much national insurance I'll need to pay to get my state pension? I know that if you're self employed the payments are something like Β£15 a week, but when I logged onto the government gateway my payments from previous years were a lot higher.
Can anyone shed some light onto this?
I want to buy product liability insurance for a one of my products. I'm based in AU and sell in US, my Amz account is under my individual name. Having researched the topic in a number of forums and groups, there are some recommendations that one of the ways to protect yourself is to have a limited liability company. It could work, but at the same time I think, if I don't have product insurance, once there is a legal issue, my Amazon account may get suspended/closed. So having product insurance may be a better way to protect myself and my Amazon account?
