A list of puns related to "National Coastwatch Institution"
It's a very large company, FAANG sized (~50k employees), compensation potential is pretty great.
First round interview was basically a somewhat automated screening - they sent me to a website, asked a few questions, I was required to record video responses. Some of the questions I was allowed time to prepare and was able to re-record if I wanted, others were single-take timed answers.
Got the email today letting me know they were interested in continuing the process. This includes filling out a "formal" job application, including the following information:
This seems . . . a bit much? This will be my first job switch in over a decade so I have no idea what to expect, maybe this is normal for a huge corporate gig in the finance sector. The salary history kinda threw a red flag - I know what I will accept in terms of compensation, and the job listing's salary is within that range, but not sure I want to show my hand quite yet in that area, especially this early. Also not comfortable giving my current manager's name and phone, current employer doesn't know I'm looking and I definitely don't want this company calling them as a reference.
Thoughts?
off-course the stock is down, The SEC is USELESS!!! The US market is corrupt and now the whole world is learning about the corruption that have been inflicted upon and closed down hundreds of US owned business. Where the fuck is Gary Gensler! DO YOUR FUCKING JOB!
The US Market will crash and Gary Gensler will be remembered in history as the weak SEC Chairman who gave a blind eye to all the corruption we've uncovered.
I got an interview for a Church of England job. It's an office role doing pensions and housing related work. Mostly data processing and analysis type work.
I guess what I wanna know is what am I in for? I've always thought of the Church of England as pretty chill. I pass pretty well. Just had BA and FFS so passing should be an issue. IT's just that I still got a revision GRS to go through and I don't want them to get wind of it. I also had a housemate who basically told me to be careful just cuz of things the DAily Mail says. Don't really do newspapers much these days.

There has been growing dis-information globally in the last 20 years. Today's global interconnectedness, while being hugely beneficial for making information easily accessible to everyone, has made it ever more difficult to determine 'truth' and who to trust. As an independent charity, not affiliated or biased to any particular group, but with broad knowledge we are here to answer any questions you may have and to hopefully point you to further reading!
Our goal is simply to answer as many of your questions as we can - but we aren't able to give advice on things - sorry! We will also be clear where what we are saying is the experience-based opinion of someone in our team.
CSES will draw from its large pool of volunteers to answer your questions, however the people standing by to answer comments are:
