a little background, my parents sent an email back in January to me and my 3 sisters informing us of their decision to no longer give gifts.

if you don't want to read that original post, long story short, my parents have picked a charity they want to donate to and have claimed that every birthday/Christmas they will make a donation in our name to that charity. for my parents birthdays, they want us kids to donate in THEIR name to that charity as well.

anyway, I completely forgot about all of this until last week when it happened to be my birthday.

I got a card in the mail from the charity my parents chose to donate to. I figured that they donated in my name right, like they said they would? WRONG.

they donated IN HONOR of me and the donors name and address on the card was my NMOM.

I died laughing. IN HONOR of me. as if I'm dead or dying. not to mention the charity they picked is the American Cancer society so it's like as if I had cancer. my nmom is donating to commemorate me but still gets all the credit and recognition she wants. not to mention tax write offs. it wasn't in my name AT ALL.

I finally got one, with my highest previously being 6rs aim assault and that the only 6 I have, I was clicking through and didnt even register it at first, my absolute favorite character in game, I feel absolutely dizzy with excitement.

My husband has the best intentions but man he really was dumb about this one.

Context:

1. My hubby is military and works 3 hours away from the house, so he is gone during the entire week, and only home on weekends.

2. He is preparing to deploy in September for a full year

3. I am 36 weeks pregnant, due to give birth at the end of June.

4. His boss at his current location just took a job down where we live, and will be doing sort of the same setup (working away during the week and staying at the armory, then going home on weekends). This job starts July 1.

So my sweet husband offers to let the boss come stay at our place in our "spare bedroom."

Um. All of my what? So many reasons why this is NOT happening, hubby:

1. We are converting that room for our older daughter so new baby can be in the room next to us. There is no space.

2. What sane person wants to be in a house with a newborn waking at whatever fucking hour of the night?

3. I am not keeping my house clean and perfect for a guest for who knows how long... while I am recovering... and doing all of the newborn care!

4. I wanna be able to walk around stark ass naked! Hello, my boobs are gunna be hurting, the nipples need to be free! And I'll be wearing mesh underwear and tucks pads and all kinds of nonsense going on down below.

5. I will literally be mere DAYS out of the hospital!

6. I had PPD last time and my big breakdown was 2 weeks out. I don't need someone around for this hormone dump and ensuing bullshit.

7. I want all of my time alone with my little family that I can get. He is leaving for a year, I don't need to share with anyone else!

Not sure wtf my husband was thinking. He must not remember what the postpartum period was like AT ALL. Like, he has good intentions, but what in the hell...?

I AM getting the admits from all the universities that I AM applying for . I deserve the best and universe is making it happen. I AM grateful for what I have already and I AM open to receive the abundance of health and wealth that the universe is showering on me. THANK YOU 😊

I’m only about 3/4 of the way through the story but HOW DARE YOU TURN OWEN INTO THE VILLAIN. Owen was my favorite character and that scene in the tomb of General Tarsis literally made my blood boil. I was legitimately upset.

Say what you will but in my opinion the writing and character development in Anthem is amazing. I’ve been SO attached to these people and their stories and that twist just broke me.

This was several years ago, but I still remember the details vividly.

I had a dog which I loved very much. I had adopted him from the animal shelter in my town as a senior dog. His name was Shark. He was stout, quiet jack Russell. Him and I were inseparable for almost six years or so, his favorite person was me , we would go everywhere together. his favorite thing to do was lay in bed with me, and he would make the cutest satisfied sigh when he'd settle into me. He would be the little spoon an I of course was the big spoon. Haha. We were very much bonded and he had been a constant comfort in my life at the time. It got to a point where Shark became very sick. And though he had always been slower moving and quiet, he just wasn't himself any more, and had lost quite a bit of weight. Having to make the hardest decision to say good bye to my beloved shark is still one of my most painful memories It always brings me to tears. But I knew I was doing him a disservice by keeping him alive for my own benefit, and had promised him I'd always take care of him. A friend of mine went with me to put him down, and I remember holding him and sobbing, shaking. Wishing we had more time.. After I had my friend drive me home, and I just felt so empty and rotten. I said goodbye to my friend, just feeling like utter garbage. I laid down on my bed sobbing and crying with his collar in my hand, wishing we could curl up together like always. Just as the thought had crossed my mind I felt the old familiar feeling of his warm body on my stomach and almost heard his satisfied sigh he always made. It really gave me comfort when I felt terrible and I felt like I got to say goodbye to my beloved friend
