A list of puns related to "Muslim Mosque, Inc."
for the past few months, Islamic terror group isis-k attacked several Shia muslim mosques in Afghanistan and murdered hundreds of worshippers during prayers. yet im surprised to see most Muslims silent about these cold blooded massacres. when similar thing happened in New Zealand, they all went mad over it, it seems to me they care more about who is the killer than the victims. if these massacres happened in a western country, wether it against Muslim or black or whatever then everybody will give it attention it needs
First time this happens to me. I am still shocked. This mosque apparently has rules and do not allow women to pray in it.
I have school for two weeks in this area (Paris, FR) and I was happy to find a place to pray nearby.
I asked them if I could pray real quick and they didn't allow me to get in the mosque to pray, not even for 5 minutes. I started arguing with them and they threatened me.
As muslims we have to be welcoming, especially when it comes to Islamic obligations, so what's wrong with people?
What happened to our Ummah ?
EDIT : some people here don't seem to understand that I was asking for shelter, and I was asking help to my own community. Don't give me the "it's preferable to pray at home" CAUSE I WAS IN FACT NOT NEAR MY HOUSE.
Was given food the other day at the mosque and I am forever grateful but when I ate with my left hand (I'm left handed) they got mad at me and told me to do it with my right. It was weird an uncomfortable eating with my right hand. They told me to even hold my drink with my right hand. I was confused. Their argument was that you wipe your butt with your left hand, but while this is true, soap exists for a reason. Please help me understand.
Is this allowed? What's the best way to approach this? Is my wife allowed to attend?
The mosque hire police to (I assume) make a presence during their service or possibly assist with slowing traffic. I'm not sure. I definitely don't want to cause any trouble. I just want to experience and learn.
I've seen a news that Malaysia was so enraged with Christian churches that they had to take down their crosses as a religious symbol. While here in the West, a radical almost evangelical majority society (Brazil) isn't protesting for the mosques to take down their minarets.
Foot washing needs to be more normalized in the west. As a sad, sad adult man with disgusting feet, I think if I washed my feet more often they wouldn't be so fetid. We wash our hands three or four times a day on average, so why do we skip the feet? Feet are probably the filthiest part of the body.
We can brainstorm about the specifics of how it needs to be done at a later date.
What do you believe in and why?
How long have you been a believer?
How important is faith to you and your identity?
Which mosque do you go to and how often?
How active are you in your faith?
How do you think the world was created?
What do you think happens after death?
What role does the man / woman have in your faith?
What do you think is the meaning of life?
I haven't taken shahada yet, not officially, but I've read the Qur'an and have been praying every day for a while now. I really want to start going to a mosque, but I'm nervous about going to a new place on my own. Any advice would be super helpful (from anyone - but if you know anywhere especially friendly near Manchester, England, I'd be forever grateful)
Well, they don't say it to our faces (muslims) being that it's a sensitive issue but they do find it annoying and write about it on socmed/ reddit.
