A list of puns related to "Multi Function Display"
I'm camping and spending a lot of time with the tailgate open. I've turned off the interior lights, but the driver's multi-function display still shows the notification of which door is open even though the vehicle is off.
Anyone know of a way to turn that off so I can have the tailgate open without drawing power from the 12V battery?
Curious about how much work would go into this. They take the same plug, so does anyone know if you could put a multi function display from a limited into a premium and have it work off the bat?
For clarification, Iβm talking about the display on the upper middle dash
I've always wanted the status monitors on the sub to display emergencies on their screens, and now they do! All components in the MFD are vanilla, so far I have "FIRE," "FLOOD," and "ALERT, CONDITION: RED." The fire and flood warnings are automatic, every room has a fire and water detector, and the red alert is triggered by the Captain on the bridge. The status monitor still works normally if you select it.
I'm planning to add more alerts to the system, maybe a yellow alert and an "EVAC" alarm if the O2 gets too low, but if anyone has any ideas for more alarms, let me know!
This system, as well as the drop-down SSL, will be available when I finally stop being lazy and submit my sub to the workshop. Unfinished version of my sub here.
Our 2020 Ascent Limited (Canadian) came with a multi-function display that sits above the regular display. Most of the available displays are a little gimmicky so we generally leave it on music display to show the name of the song/band that's currently playing.
The problem we're seeing is it's 2-3 steamboats slow in updating the information when you change the channel/song. If we have the main 8 inch display set to music, it refreshes instantly but the smaller display above it takes a few seconds.
I did some Googling and didn't see anyone else with the same problem so I wanted to reach out to Reddit to see if it's common. Who knows, maybe my system needs a reset.
^(Just for context, especially if you don't know what an MFD is or why they are cool, there is a very cool mod for KSP called RasterPropMonitor ()^view ^here^) ^(that adds functional MFDs to all the vanilla command pods (both capsules and cockpits)^).
So, last month I was looking at the thumbnail for the KSP 2 teaser teaser (view here) and thinking about what really looks like MFDs in the reflection of the capsule controls. Seeing as it's just a blurry reflection in a promotional image, I didn't want to jump to conclusions, but now we have this gif that the creative director posted showing off externally visible cockpits (view here). You can pretty clearly spot at least one MFD in each of the two cockpits, bottom-center on the control panels.
Now, I realize that these could just be non-functional props. KSP 1 has plenty on non-functional cockpit controls, after all. However, considering the creative director came out the gate talking about how they wanted to bring some of the best mod-added features for KSP 1 to vanilla KSP 2, I feel like it's quite likely that these MFDs are going to be real and I'm pretty excited about that! Vanilla MFD functionality would mean a more powerful IVA experience but it also would encourage mod authors to take advantage of MFDs.
Anyway, if people have been discussing this somewhere, I couldn't find it so I thought I'd bring it up here. I would love to have this confirmed and especially would love to know what sort of functionality we can expect vanilla MFDs to have in KSP 2. I don't know how active the KSP 2 devs are here, but if you have ideas for things you'd like to be able to use MFDs for, drop them in the comments!

Has it not been implemented ? Iβm confused because i saw it on a devblog. Thanks in advance
I have a 2015 Jetta SE with the basic "computer". Does anyone know of a way to get the more in-depth computer?
I am not sure if I am asking that correctly, so please ask if you need more clarification.
