A list of puns related to "Mtv Video Music Brazil"
This part might be from another mv but at some point s/he was sitting in front of a table and had a sad look in her/his face and the colour scheme of the entire video is like blacks and greys and whites but iβm pretty sure it wasnt in black&white.
PLEASE help me since I've posted this a billion times! Been looking for this song for 6 years already. The song sounds a bit like this...
https://onlinesequencer.net/314696
It's sung by a woman in a soft voice. I thought it was Arca or something but it's not! The video was dark, with a black background and had a naked woman on it. I saw it on MTV Brazil's Goo MTV back in 2011. I'm pretty sure it was an American band, or Canadian, but could've been British too.
Paula Abdul's performance of "Vibeology" needs to be seen to be believed. It's so bad that it ended Paula Abdul's pop career, everybody was making fun of her during that time period.
Lady Gaga's "You and I". When Gaga shows up dressed up as a guy, trying to do this stand-up routine, it was the most embarrassing moment since Madonna tried to do stand-up comedy. It got better when she just sang the song and Brian May showed up but those first 10 minutes of Guy Gaga rambling were awkward to watch.
First time poster ever, sorry if I don't do it right!
anthow. A long long time ago when MTV still played music and my living room TV was 70kg. A song played that I for the life of me can't remember. All I do know is that in the clip it showed a robot handcuffed to a person for pretty much their whole life (I think) and when they got old and the person was sleeping on the couch the robot unlocked the handcuffs and ran away.
I don't remember much more apart from that is was super sad and made a huge impact on me.
This has been haunting me for a good 20 years now! I hope someone out there has seen it as well and knows what song and clip it was! Thanks in advance!

Long shot. Basically, Goo was a TV show that showcased indie/alternative/experimental music. I think I watched these music videos in the second episode or so.
One of them was a Canadian band I believe, and people were dancing on the street with very colourful clothes and makeup. The main singer was a dude with short brown hair and he looked rather androgynous. I think the end had a nightclub scene.
The other video was dark and had naked woman and it was kind of trip hoppish/downtempo and she sang slowly and no, it's not Tom's Diner for god's sake. It was recent and rather obscure. It sorta looked like Arca - Xen but the camera was focused on her torso/navel area.
Here is the online sequencer link for the second song. I suck at music and I don't have a microphone so sorry if this is confusing.
There are almost no videos of this show anymore because the old MTV shut down so you can't find anything. I tried my best.
Please help since I've been looking for this for a long time.
Not sure if this is just a non-American thing, but after hearing how important MTV was for playing music videos I often wonder why artists produced music videos before then if they seemingly weren't getting a lot of coverage.
I can only think of Top of the Pops in the UK but that show had more of an emphasis on "live" performances AFAIK so I'm still curious as to why music videos were made pre-MTV.
Edit: Thanks to everyone who replied. Makes a lot sense now. :)
I'm looking for an animated music video. I think it was animated in anime or comic style. I don't remember it well, but it may have been about a superhero girl or a hitman who leads a double life. The moment I remember is the fight scene in which the heroine is bitten by a dog on the thigh.
Guys, I'm literally going INSANE, it's been 15 years of research but I can't find this particular animated music video aired on MTV in Italy during the first half of the '00s (more likely 2004-2005). Music genre: alternative rock/indie rock Kind of animation: 2D Only 2 colors: red and black, can't remember if the backgrounds where red and the characters black or the other way around. Main character is a young man with his girlfriend, this young man happens to be a boxer and he's got a match on schedule. But the mob wants him to lose because of bets and money-related problems. He decides to win instead and after the match he flees with his girlfriend being chased by the mob. They reach a Pier and they get on a ship but at this point my memory gets really fuzzy and I can't remember anything else. If I'm recalling correctly the singer was a female or there where multiple singers (female main singer and male choir maybe) and I remember something like "don't let me go" or "won't let me go" and "love" in the lyrics or even in the title! That's pretty much it. I've searched on the internet and found many amazing animated music videos during the process but was never able to find what I was looking for. Hope someone in here can help me out!
Wikipedia mentions that there's a version of this music video shown only on MTV Europe where Chester Bennington drops his bag at the end and presumably dies in the riot. I actually remember seeing it on YouTube quite some time ago (at least what I thought was it) but the quality wasn't too great and seeing as it's now deleted, I can't find it anywhere else.
Edit: Found it after some more digging https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Hw6Y1jxshs
The music video I remember took place in a warehouse where at one point the band is playing and the camera shifts away and replaces them with dancing people. I believe the song title or band name had heart in it.
