A list of puns related to "Motorcycle Birthday"
I canβt, it makes me cringe so much lmao. Why did he think that was a good idea?? I know sheβs three, but he didnβt care about her interests at all lol
Iβm soo stoked itβs finally happening and letting a dream come true. Ever since I can remember Iβve been interested in motorcycles. But I thought that I would not be responsible enough to ride. People always told me it would get me killed. Negative input from other people got my motivation down to really start riding. Iβve never stopped being interested, just kept it to myself.
Got my drivers license for a while now and build up experience with a manual car. We bought a 2015 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross 1.6 last year. Iβve never had any incidents on the road. Trying my best to anticipate traffic, scanning whatβs in front and whatβs going on behind me. Plus having self control about my own speed.
According to my wife Iβve been talking way to much about bikes lately every time we encounter one on the road. We saw a dude on a Yamaha MT-09 and I said to my wife that bike is more expensive than our car! About 90 newton meters of torque with almost 120 horsepower. Such a beast machine! As he ripped his throttle going past us. Gave me goosebumps for sure. That was the moment my wife planned on gifting me 3hours of practice at our local motorcycle school.
How do I even make up for such a great gift. Iβm very grateful that sheβs so supportive.
I will be practicing on a Honda CB600 first time at 33 years old. Maybe a bit late but better late than never!
I have a question about gifting a motorcycle to my dad, who turns 70 on Oct 6.
So, my dad has always loved motorcycles and when he turned 18 in 1969 he and his cousin Peter both bought one. Well, literally 2 weeks into owning the bikes, Peter had a horrific crash and died. So my dad's mom was distraught and made him get rid of the bike right away (Dad was also distraught but it was his mom who forbade him from ever riding again). Then, to make everything else completely horrible, his mom was diagnosed with cancer less than a month later and died 4 months after that.
So ever since, my dad has basically felt like his mom disapproved of him getting a motorcycle so he never got another one.
Sometime around 2001, he started expressing that he would be interested in getting himself a Harley. He talked about it constantly for about a year but never went and even looked because of his mom. Sort of related, his mom was really strict about eating candy so he didn't eat any candy from the day she died in 1970 until about 2005. He eventually decided 35 years was enough so now he will occasionally eat candy. So it seems like maybe he would be open to doing other things she didn't approve of.
Anyway, my dad is turning 70 in October. I would love to get him a motorcycle to fulfill the wishes he had for a lot of his life. I think it's so unfortunate that all the tragedy he experienced overshadowed a lifelong dream. I understand it was all traumatic and sad, but I do want him to be happy and I really want to get him something awesome for turning 70 since I couldn't afford anything nearly as cool for any other milestone bday.
What I'd like to know is - would that be a good idea? Is 70 too old (basically his first minus a few weeks) for a motorcycle? Am I being totally dumb asking on reddit instead of just asking him? Should i be asking this in a psychology or grief or geriatric subreddit?
Thank you all for reading and considering the question!
At 18 he played football, ran track and did multiple sports at school, he had his personal trainer license, worked very hard for his dad so he could retire his momma some day. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA and declined good schools scholarships to persuade realtor licenses. He was the most mature, responsible, and smartest person that I have ever knownβ¦And I promised him I was going to retire his mom financially on his 18bday. THIS IS WHY I HOLD AMC!!!!
This is the Facebook post I wrote when I found out two days later (his momma and I split up two months ago)

I was just there with you on your 18th birthday! Iβm devastated Caleb since I just found out you were gone from this world. I will always be haunted by this!!! You were a very special person to me and everyone surrounding you and I loved you like you were mine, I always made sure you knew that I loved your mom and your sistersβ¦ I know you are in a better place right now but you had so much ahead and you had to take care of your mom buddy!!! I canβt imagine what Sherrie is feeling right now I implore to God to give her all the strength she needs to survive this again and again, and againβ¦.You were her golden boy, her sonny boy, her special one. You were so smart and responsible you were doing at 16 what people do in their 40s and you could have ruled the world Caleb. I tent to keep my promises of buying the biggest house I can find for your Moma, Alyssa and Rebecca, I will retire your mom financially, even if we are not together, I swear. I will live the rest of my days as an example of your life and remember you till the day I die. I love you Sunny Boy!! With love,Pete. Iβll see you soon enough buddy, Promise.
THIS IS WHY WE HODL!!!!
My dad loves the Moto Guzzi Lemans 850, and I'm thinking of designing a set for him for his birthday. I've seen that there are a few Lego Technic motorcycle sets, but I don't see any of the parts listed as available to buy on the Lego website. Where can I get them? I am also looking for a program to build a digital model and a program to make instructions. What do you recommend? Thanks for the help!
