A list of puns related to "Monty Banks"
After weeks of talking animals and other kiddy fodder, we are bringing Monty Python to the big outdoor screen in Red Bank on Tuesday, July 30th. Join us in Riverside Garden Park, just a few blocks away from the Red Bank Train Station - Movie starts around 8:45.
We have come to the last but not least, the Y of team R W B Y, Yang Xiao Long. As expected, Yang just like Blake is a character that is either loved or hated to a very large extent. In this thread, just like with Blake, i will focus on the most common complaints that are levied against the character, at least complaints that i think make the most ammount of sense.
Once again, i have to clarify that this does not make Yang a "bad" character or an evil one, these are simply complaints about the writting of her character that people have levied.
Well, on with the show.
Quite suprisingly, the one thing i have noticed about Yang is how little actual arcs she has. In fact, until Atlas she has only 3, a surprisingly low ammount i would say. Or at least, it feels that way because of how her arcs are placed in the story.
One of the first arcs of hers that is set-up is of course the hunt for her biological mother, Raven. The hints and breadcrumbs of that have existed since Volume 2. The main problem of this arc became, well, i am hesitant to bring up, the death of Monty. I think we all remember the teaser at the end of V2 and how it went nowhere, mainly because from what we the fans could understand, that is a storyline that Monty simply did not share with the rest of the crew, or not the intimate details at least. As such despite the hints starting at Volume 2, the arc feels extremelly empty, hollow, without substance. It is spread out and it is short.
Then we had her home recovery arc. The arc in which she recovers from losing her arm due to Adam. As far as Volume 4 goes, most people have the same complaint about it. The arc was good, but it was too short. Not to a significant extent of course, but there has been a relative consensus on this topic for years now.
The last arc of course is in Atlas, and i would mainly focus on her involvement with Jaune and Ren, her conflict with Ruby about how to act in V8. As far as arcs go it was relatively well written besides a few key moments. However i think some of the success of that arc can be chalked up to the other members of the team, basically doing nothing...
However, there is one major problem that all of these ar

He thanked them for calling and (Unbeknownst to me), he told them has £102,963.42 pence in his bank account and he needed it protecting right now however they could. They were both very specific about the Pennies for some strange reason.
His name was Jonathan Michael Huntington Smyhth, which took at least 5 minutes to get right. Post code kept changing every time he repeated it, sometimes because he was super quiet for some of the characters, most of the time because it was made up.
I don’t know how but through a series of “i am so sorry, I didn’t quite hear you”s, a bunch of repeating the number back incorrectly (like he was Consuela from Family guy), and a few interruptions from me about who he was talking to, he kept them on for around 15 minutes. That may not sound like a lot but it’s 15 minutes they weren’t scamming everyone else.
Eventually when giving a phone number, he told the woman that he doesn’t use the number 7, and whenever he sees it, he uses the number 1 because 7 is not a real number. He then told her it was invented by the Greeks to confuse people.
Eventually the woman lost it with him and ended up hanging up.
A minute later, he gets another call and he’s ready to do it again, except this time it’s a guy with a thick Indian accent telling him to go F**k Himselves…
We don’t take pleasure in annoying these people, but letting them trick the elderly out of their savings is something we want to prevent.
He may be a yank, but it had elements of Monty Python. This is going down as a British success.
Ahh, the map that really set zombies on the stage to become what it is today. I'm including both versions because The Giant feels just unique enough while still being classic Der Riese. Being able to PAP was massive for zombies as it really gave the player a feeling of improvement as they're making their guns better. Even though Kino was my first experience with zombies, playing Der Riese made me realize how innovative it was at the time compared to the maps prior, and how these initial features really set the stage for what was to come. The catwalk is still one of the most classic camping spots of any zombies game, and the atmosphere has you feeling that sense of isolation in the desolated facility. It has my favorite SMG of all time, the PPSh, which PAP'd as the Reaper made me love the gun even more, as well as the return of the Wunderwaffe, which sadly is glitched to take your jugg away. The Giant feels like a more polished Der Riese in its vastly improved visuals, fixed issues like the Wunderwaffe glitch, and added easter eggs to get a free Annihilator specialist weapon and perks! The story felt more significant here as well, having Rictofen kill off his older self for a plan we had no idea would be developing at the time of its release. While it doesn't have the PPSh and hellhounds nearly as menacing, the addition of gobblegums and the better balance of weaponry from BO3 gave the map a fresh take that made for many new memories.
As the introduction to Cold War, Die Maschine gave us a fresh take with new game mechanics while giving us a return to classic perks like jugg and speed cola along with a reimagining of Nacht. After receiving remakes in Black Ops 4, the thought of a Nacht reimagine was skeptical, but its execution was done incredibly well and the layout flows the best of any map in CW. By having Nacht as a small part built on top of an entire facility with the playable space around, its inclusion integrates seamlessly into the map and doesn't even feel like Nacht when being played. In terms of innovation with the changes it made for zombies, this feels like a modern day Der Riese. The introduction of salvage gave us a new currency to purchase lethals, tacticals and scorestreaks at the crafting benches as well as three levels of armor and four rarity upgrades for weapons at the armor station, though there's only one on Die Maschine. Having a separate system from PAP to in

Indie perfumes are highly collectable in a few key ways: makers often issue a limited amount of a scent, and keep it in their main collection for a short time, the scents themselves are often highly unique, and the makers tend to make fragrances based on pop culture, literature, and art work that resonates with large swaths of buyers.
Indie perfumes are usually small 5ml oil bottles, and retail for $30 or less a pop, making them attractive to both casual buyers and hard core fans.
I've written about the undignified demise of another indie perfume house before, and in that write up I detailed a typical path indie perfume houses usually follow during a flame-out: longer and longer delays for shipping, some "three card monty" with shipping labels and turn around times, increasingly defensive social media posts, and then a steep slide into outright fraud, theft, lawsuits, chargebacks and mutual vitriol between maker/owner and buyers/fans leading to a single smoking skid mark in the place of what was once a thriving hobby seller.
Our story today is a little different.
CEO and Head Witch
Sixteen92 is an indie perfume maker. But not just any house. Unlike other makers, Sixteen92's Clair Baxter ("CEO and Head Witch") spend many years in business, on the marketing side, before founding the house in 2014. An article profiling the maker in 2018, by Trista Edwards, quotes the owner: "I spent a decade in advertising and branding, working with fashion and luxury retail brands."
In 2017, the house won an award from the Institute for Art and Olfaction – Fourth Annual Art and Olfaction Awards 2017 (for their fragrance "Bruise Violet"). The website lists an impressive array of press nods, including:
The Art & Olfaction Awards (see above)
Basenotes
CaFleureBon
ELLE Dec. 2018
Fragrantica
Mavenly + Co.
The New York Times
The owner is self-described (somewhat cloyingly) as "Art school-educated, former advertising Creative Director, fine art photographer and classically trained opera singer (not all at the same time)."
I am an indie perfume lover and collector and I remember being a tiny bit intimidated by just how together, accomplished, and just...cool this owner seemed.
The branding, customer service, and overall polish of the website a

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
It is a new year which is a perfect time to start with a clean mental slate.
One of the most difficult aspects about teaching traders how to be consistently profitable is how much their heads have been filled with absolute garbage.
Consider the following: There is no "house" when it comes to the market - meaning, the market has no built-in statistical advantage for or against you, the way a casino does. You are free to choose either side of a trade, and to decide whether to use stocks or options - and for every trade you make, someone else is on the other side. They aren't making the exact opposite trade the same time you are - they are just happily taking your order knowing you will probably lose.
Think about that - every market maker and institution out there would be more than happy to take the other side of a retail traders position - no matter what that position is - you want to be short AAPL, great, they are lined up going long. Want to go long AAPL? Fine - that same money is ready to take the bearish side.
Why? Because they know you will play it wrong.
Let's look at the Monty Hall Problem for a moment. For those that don't know it, it is a famous example of how people are bad at statistics:
If a contestant on a game show was told there are three doors - behind one of those doors is a new car but you don't know which door it is, and behind the other two is nothing. All they need to do is pick the right door to win. In other words, they have a 33% chance of winning.
They pick door number 1 (or 2 or 3, doesn't really matter) - but before the host of the game show opens door number 1, she opens door number 2 showing there is nothing behind it. She then asks the contestant if they want to switch their original pick of Door 1 to Door 3.
Over 70% of people would stick with their original pick (i.e. roughly 70% of people get this question wrong). However, Door 3 has a 66.6% chance of having the car behind it, and the original pick only has a 33.3% chance. In other words, you should only stick with the original door if you don't really want a new car.
Knowing how often contestants would make the wrong choice, I would bet against them getting a car every time. Why? Because I know I have a 57.1% chance of being right and winning the bet. (e.g. the 70% of idiots will still win 33.3% of the time, and the 30% that know math will win 66.6% of the time, meaning on average 42.9% of contestants would win the car, and 57.1% would l

You know, I've been thinking about my entrance into cryptocurrency. It started with finding out what a Blockchain was. I found out that it is similar to ( may even be the same ) nano technology.
I saw the pictures depicting there structure. Very similar to Biochemistry. Structure Activity Relationship.
Then the components that make it up.
Then digitalizing money transfer, cutting out the banks and middle man money changers. Reducing fees and conversion charges as well as almost instant. Credit card purchases at point of sale use this Blockchain thing. Wow , it's everywhere
Wow
BTC was the one. Ok bought some on PayPal, of all places. Simple, easy, already had an account.
Learned a little about exchanges. Learned a little about new legislation.
Options limited because of where I live. Coinbase and BinanceUS we're pretty much my "safest" choices.
Tried to find something that was one of the parts of the "process" oracle's scalers etc
I knew BTC and ETH we're main players and BNB too, can't buy BNB on Coinbase, hence enter BinanceUS.
So... at work these Kats are talkin' 'bout crypto. I know these guys, but don't hang out with them.
So I'm thinking, man it would be totally spiritual if we got rich together, like in the movies. Yea, like that's going to happen.
Nobody took me seriously. I started to think they were talking out the side of their neck. They were taking about coins not listed on US approved sites. Maybe they were gifted in computer tech and code. Another reason I wanted to start a group. Face to face or mask to mask with this COVID thing. You know sharing ideas learning strategies learning computer stuff.
About this time I figured out that I was , IMO, approaching my 'buys" wrong. I was reading to many RedTop articles. I always avoided social media, but reputable ( as least they used to be ) we're hyping coins that were not performing as presented.
So I started looking at : what impact is this project going to have in this dystopian world in which we live . What does it bring to the table. UTILITY, if you will.
Then I started looking at who or what already successful businesses are investing in or backing these projects. My thinking being: Successful companies don't usually "throw darts" when it comes to investing or backing a project.
I go back to my buds and tell them my thoughts and approach, they make fun of me and laugh, I tell them that in 3 to 5 years all this "crypto" stuff will be mainstream. They're talking get rich to

Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual

[WP] Few people realize that it's someone's job to rate the difficulty of various dungeons before a single group of adventurers sets foot inside to clear it properly. A dangerous profession, at times worse than thankless. But, it keeps rookie parties safe, and keeps veterans from wasting their time.
OP <---show it some love
100 Dungeons
I took the job because I needed money. I told myself it would be short term - a way to bring in coin while I pursued my passion.
I purchased my first professional crafted lute after six months on the job. I had to pay off some debts first, but that’s another story.
The money was good. The dungeons dangerous. But I was protected, for the most part. And I made more from one dungeon rating and review than I would in three months of performing.
So I kept at it.
Only for a few years, I told myself. That was the plan. I calculated I’d need to rate and review 100 dungeons to finance five years as a traveling musician. I could be my own patron - fund my own future.
Five years passed quickly. I Had some setbacks. Placed some ill advised wagers with the wrong kind of Trolls. May or may not have done some insider raiding to settle some loose ends.
After completing my 99th dungeon, and with some minor illegitimacy (which is only illegal if you get caught) - I was back on track.
Plus, I had the goodwill of the King, so if anyone did notice some of my sleight of hand I was sure it could explain myself to him and given my service it’d be a slap on the wrist.
It was June when I headed through the depths of the east forest, towards the borders of the Andrii Village. A Magí had recently purchased an abandoned dwarf mine (with captain from the King), and had architected a dungeon, as he claims, that would be unlike anything the land had ever seen.
It was said the entrance was at the center of the lake, and to enter adventurers would have to make the dive.
This would be my ticket out. Number 100.
I followed the map provided which lead me to a boat house on the shore of the green water.
There was a line.
What the fuck? I thought to myself.
Parties of adventures were wrapped around the boathouse.
Idiots.
I approached the boatman and as he started, “Halt, who goes -“
“-shut up,” I held up a scroll signed and pressed with the King’s ring.

The Journey
The pandemic got me writing again in 2020, predominately short teaching movies for my students during remote learning. As I hate to appear on camera I started to utilise what I have around the house - puppets. Over time these grew grander and more insane, and lead to my ordering a set of 8(!) Muppet hand puppets from the Netherlands - which took quite some time to travel halfway around the world.
Story choice
Last year the Muppet Gatsby script inspired me to adapt one of my own favourite tales - Around the World in Eighty Days, a story with a mixed adaptation history (looking at you Steve Coogan and Jackie Chan), but a story I've found connects well with classes I've taught and which could make a great Muppet movie. Life kept getting in the way so it took me slightly longer than two weeks to write. Note: I know there's a new series with David Tennant, despite him being my Doctor I've held off watching until my script was complete.
Dramatis personae
Phileas Fogg (human): A somewhat robotic character in the original text, I figured a human would help anchor this role. He needs to be cold and mechanical in the beginning, thawing over the course of the film. In an ideal world, my first choice would be Nicholas Hoult, although my brain also went to flashes of Andrew Garfield, Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch. He is an impatient man with a tendency to dismiss valets (all of whom are literally Muppets), who he keeps running into all over the world.
Passepartout (Kermit): Fogg's new found valet (sorry, manservant in the original text), of course it's Kermit.
Inspector Fix (Miss Piggy): Inspector Fix follows Fogg pretty much all the way around the world - she'd be much more likely to do that if she was in love with Passepartout, don't you think?
Aouda (human): Just as Belle was human for Caine's Scrooge, it makes sense to have another human for Fogg to play opposite.
Jules (Gonzo the Great) and Verne (Rizzo the Rat): I reflected on Gonzo and Rizzo's contributions to past Muppet great adaptations and wanted to try something different. As such Jules and Verne partly narrate the the story, partly are sent a
