A list of puns related to "Montefiore Medical Center"
In NYC of March 2020, all sh%t hit the fan in the beginning of the pandemic. We quickly ran out of PPE. Most of Management and all of Administration was no were to be seen. But they still needed bodies to do the work, so they call us βHEROESβ, thinking thatβs what convinces us to continue going to work. But we were not given the protection we needed. PPEs were being guarded under lock and key in the nursing offices. Doctors/nurses/aids/etc couldnβt find any masks when they needed one, searching from one unit to another. We were all ordered by administration, via email, to not wear masks in the halls. During this time of the pandemic, and shortages of PPE, and incompetent administration/management, Itβs likely a large majority of the hospital staff was infected. Entire departments were testing positive/hospitalized/out sick/etc,and were told to come back to work by administration/management, knowing that they were positive/exposed. Some of the hospital staff died, some of them almost died, some of them were extremely ill and still are with long COVID. Those who die or were disabled in the beginning of the pandemic were, their patients were given to anyone who showed up the next day. Later on when travel nurses were available, those nurses who died or were disabled, were replaced instantaneously.
At the height of the Pandemic, administration was nowhere to be seen, and hospital staff were dropping like flies, the doctors/nurses/aids/housekeeping/etc were being forced to double or triple work. Administration/management forced nurse to double the number of patients they took care of. Patients died without the nurse or doctor know because of shear number of patients they were taking care of. It is a fact that during this time the doctors and nurses and nurses aids were caring for double the number of patients, Montefioreβs CEO, Dr Philip Ozuah had a very close VIP family member admitted in the hospital , and they had a one to one nurse at all times. This Fu@king VIP treatment for the rich and powerful, while everyone else dies, is another issue that boils my blood. Iβm sure Montefioreβs CEO will say, βI didnβt know my family member had a one to one nurseβ. But the feigning of ignorance by CEOs is not an excuse for continuing to allowed immoral VIP practices anymore. And they all know it happens, and expect it to happen.
And remember, while the CEOs family member had a one to one nurse during the hight of COVID and PPE shortage, all other patients were dying w

Hi NYC! My husband is going for a two-month long medical internship at the Montefiore medical center. I'm coming along with our 2-year old daughter and am hoping to have a two month long nice and kid-friendly stay.
Since it's only two months, we're willing to cough up some money to live in an area we like. But... hell. Manhattan prices. Fuck.
The subway map is a bit hard to understand just from reading online, but it seems like we need to be close to the 4 subway, if possible. Where to stay? Would Brooklyn be impossible? Are there any other modes of transportation that we don't know about?
Thanks!

My fiancΓ©e has a potential job offer at the Montefiore Medical Center at East 210th St. in the Bronx. Would it be safe for her to commute from Midtown or UES via public transit? The potential shifts are 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am so at least one way would likely be under the cover of darkness. My job would be in the Financial District so we are trying to split the difference.
I need a tooth pulled ASAP and every affordable dentist is booked solid.
If I show up when they open, will they pull my tooth, or will they take x-rays and make me come back another day?
