So I'm born and bred in Melbourne. Been in SC for a few years. I get the Watch AFL package every season. So much better than Foxtel/Telstra.
Anyway, last year I hosted a GF party with 8 Americans. 7 of them had never seen AFL before. They all like NFL, NASCAR etc.... needless to say they loved footy.
I'm getting the gang back together this Saturday. They've never seen a GF at the MCG which is funny. But I figure to keep some element of tradition we will start it at 2.10pm...Not live obviously. I'll have to stay off social media and tell a few friends no spoilers
But I'm gonna make sausage rolls, and drive into Charlotte tomorrow to pick up a couple 6 packs of Coopers from a fancy import wine place. They are $16.99 USD if you were wondering.
I don't mind who wins this year....just hope it's better than the Prelims.

I’m an introvert with an extroverted job. Smol humans are all up in my grill. They have no concept of personal space.
