Please tell me i’m not the only one who found that ridiculous..I know a million Mimis! lol,it’s super common in the south and midwest.
I've always thought the name Mimi as a nickname for Amelia is really lovely, but not v. fond of Amelia as a name in its own right (there's also already one in the family). Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative names that could take Mimi as a nickname? Ideally something fairly traditional.
My MIL insists on being called Mimi for two reasons: she is already Nana to the dogs and she claims it’s French for grandmother.
Dogs: wtf French: French was my father’s first language and he could not substantiate this claim. Also, she’s not French.
Years before anyone had children all her kids sat her down and tried talking with her about how no one liked this name and would appreciate her reconsidering. She told them grandmothers get to do whatever they want so they better get used to it.
Maybe it’s English for narcissist?
I checked Tunefind but none of the songs listed are the track (ambient; electronic?) playing in the background of the Mimi-Rose art show. Anyone have any idea?

Heyho everyone! I figured it was time I started reaching out on various social media platforms to finally start growing the channel. I've been keeping quiet for a bit, just to be sure that I could consistantly balance streaming with adulting, and I totally can.
So, a little about myself: I'm creepin' up on 30 years old this year, and realised that I've been putting off trying to stream for far too long. As a yougin', I wanted to have a channel that reached thousands upon thousands and basically...I set myself up to fail. Now that I'm older, I don't give a shit about all that, I just enjoy the hell out of it, and I really enjoy having a couple of people in the stream to chat with.
Anyways, one of the goals I had was to finally, FINALLY, play all of those games I've had on my bucket list since forever (Halo, Diablo, Silent Hill, Spyro....to name a few). I grew up in a family that thought gaming too much gave you, and I quote, 'Computer Brain'. This is a make-believe illness wrought on by 'excessive' gaming. Symptoms may include throwing things, screaming uncontrollably, tantrums, crying, and occasionally yelling 'I HATE YOU'. So, to avoid any of this, I grew up with very little amount of gaming time.
I'm a big girl now, with a job thing, makin' da monies, and I'M BUYING ALL THE GAMES. ALL OF THEM. AS LONG AS THEY'RE UNDER 60€ because I know I be makin' da monies but...not...that much monies.
That's where I'm at now. I'm just about to start Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 (actually starting tonight) and then going to go into Mass Effect (which I've played before, but it's just so damn good...).
As for future goals for the stream, I have way too many ideas. One of them, for sure, if I ever make affiliate is to have charity events. I know, lame, but I work with animal associations, and any support these guys can get is another animal saved. As for the fun stuff, gosh, there are so many great things I want to do. It really all depends on what direction the channel takes as it evolves, but I'm totally open to suggestions!
