My fiancรฉe and I are planning a wedding in Charlotte for 2022. As of right now, the only available dates at the venue are in (i) late July 2022 and (ii) mid-November 2022. Any advice on how to choose between these two options?
The venue is roughly half indoor/half outdoor and we plan to hold the ceremony outside. We are obviously concerned about oppressive July heat, while at the same time, we're nervous about potentially cold November temperatures. If you've been to weddings in NC during either of these times of year, how'd they go? Any thoughts on the above dates?
When school ended back in May, I was not considering or planning on changing schools. However, I was approached with an exciting opportunity to interview for a great school and I took it. And they offered me the position! So for a bit of background, I student-taught at my current school and took an official teaching position in January 2021. I've just completed my first official semester of teaching. I like my colleagues at my current school but I will admit that the administration and district leave a lot to be desired... I definitely was not planning on staying longer than two years. I looked at my contract and it did not include any clause about how long I have to teach in the district. I would much rather work at this new school. How should I approach my AP about this? Also, how do I break this news to my colleagues without hurting any feelings for leaving so unexpectedly? (I think my mentor teacher might be upset with me for this.)

My family is visiting SF in mid July to drop our daughter at college at USF. We are looking at hotels in Union Square and Soma. Wondering how Covid has impacted these neighborhoods and others nearby.... What are these areas like right now? Crime, homeless, restaurants open versus closed, and anything else that might help us decide. Thanks!!
Hi there, after more than a year staying at home, I planned my first trip and booked my flight to Chisinau. A friend of mine and I will stay in Moldova for 8 days and I have like a ton of questions. I will start with the obvious ones and would really appreciate it if thereโs anybody out there who could help me out (also via PM if you want to). I surely tried to get info on my own but itโs difficult to get valid info due to Covid. Thanks in advance!
- How well is English/Russian understood in public? I understand quite a bit Russian and can read Cyrillic because I have Serbian origins but preferably I would like to talk English. If you say that Russian is well spoken, maybe I will learn some Russian for the next two weeks
- We want to go to Tiraspol but we also know there could be some issues for foreigners/tourists to enter Pridnestrovia. How is the situation there at the moment?
- Which locations are a must-see in whole Moldova? Donโt need to be popular, only whatโs coming up in your mind!
- Where is the best place to get a beer in Chisinau? Is there partying possible at the moment? And if so, where?
- Is there maybe somebody out there who knows a bit about the domestic football league (Divizia Nationala) or Moldovan football in general? We want to see a bunch of football games there - maybe you can help or join us!
