A list of puns related to "Micro Encapsulation"
Greetings,
I'm using Angular v12 and Angular Material and I'm wondering if it's possible to encapsulate the global CSS that is emitted by Angular Material.
I have a theme.scss
file with the following content.
@use '~@angular/material' as mat;
.my-dark-theme {
$colors: (
background: #212022,
);
$typography: mat.define-typography-config(
$font-family: 'Roboto, sans-serif',
$headline: mat.define-typography-level(20px, 27px, 700),
$title: mat.define-typography-level(18px, 25px, 700),
$subheading-2: mat.define-typography-level(16px, 23px, 700),
);
@include mat.core($typography);
$dark-theme: mat.define-dark-theme(
(
typography: $typography,
color: (
primary: mat.define-palette(mat.$indigo-palette, 500),
accent: mat.define-palette(mat.$pink-palette, A200, A100, A400),
)
)
);
@include mat.core-theme($dark-theme);
@include mat.button-theme($dark-theme);
background-color: map-get($colors, 'background');
}
The style that comes from mat.core
along with mat.core-theme
and mat.button-theme
is encapsulated in my-dark-theme
class.
However to use Angular material we need to add @use '~@angular/material' as mat;
at the beginning of the file, which will create some global CSS classes that are not encapsulated.
Global CSS from `@use '~@angular/material'`
Is there a way to encapsulate this global CSS classes?
Keep in mind my friend has never played Starcraft and doesn't even really like video games. I don't want him to get addicted to SC2, I just want him to "get it". It can't be just a good game -- the venues and personalities of the casters are really important to show to my friend. I'm thinking Tastosis is close to mandatory.
So come on r/starcraft, what's the best suggestion you got?
(For the record, this is the Judo video. It's pretty badass.)
To start off I'll just say that Murata's work on the series is nothing short of phenomenal and I commend him for the his work ethic in putting out some of the best art you'll see in manga right now. It is genuinely admirable how much work he puts out for that level of quality.
Now I'm not drafting this rant or anything, but I just need to vent out my feelings that have been fermenting for a long time. I've been a fan of OPM for at least 6 years, since before even the anime came out and it used to be my favorite manga. I haven't felt that way in a while.
the OPM manga has ran into issues over time such as the redraws, long wait times for chapters, and so on. For a time, the redraws really upset me when they changed certain story scenes completely. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Fine. Certain scenes were also disappointing in the manga. Yet I could forgive all of these because there was so much good to make up for them. However the manga keeps going in directions that I can't fully get on board with. Before I even go into webcomic spoilers, I'll just say general criticisms that the pacing is pretty all over the place even without taking into account the webcomic. What I see is that they rush important parts, yet the story still feels dragged due to unnecessary additions. From the extremely lengthy Psykorochi fight (with her turning into a fighter jet, the hell was that), and weird additions like Vomit Fuhrer Ugly, and so on, the narrative pacing starts to feel like a sequence of weird random things after the next instead of a coherent story that flows naturally.
The thing is, though I loved the webcomic and understand that the manga is taking its own story directions, it's often not in a good way. I can even understand huge changes to the story if done right. But I believe that the manga should still capture the original soul of the MA arc and of OPM. I feel it doesn't anymore.
.
WEBCOMIC SPOILERS AHEAD
Now I'll explain why. It might seem cliche'd to compare the manga to the webcomic but it's inevitable since the webcomic was the original source material and thus it's intrinsically impossible to completely decouple expectations from it to the manga. The MA arc in the webcomic captured an atmosphere of a desperate, drawn-out battle where the heroes slowly surfaced one by one to join the fight against the Cadres, conveying an excellent feeling of incrementally increasing stakes and drama. The cadres were unlike anything we've ever s

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Hi Overwatch University,
I'm Kajor - An Educative Overwatch Content Creator, Most Renowned For My 90K Word/8 Hour Overwatch Hero Guide!
Today, I'm here with a post detailing some of the Best Educative Overwatch Content Creators that I believe deserve a louder voice and hopefully this post will help uncover them a bit more! Because there's A LOT of Educative Overwatch Creators, I initially structured this into the Top 5 Underrated Creators, and also had some honorable mentions to still acknowledge some great creators out there!
Here's the Video Version: https://youtu.be/PWj1nCpST1M
N.B. If you stay relatively active on this subreddit, and/or you already know who I am, it's likely you'll know a handful of these creators already just from me using their content in the past - But I'm sure there'll still be a handful of people worth checking out that you haven't already known before!
Paz - u/Paz_ow - https://www.youtube.com/c/Pazow
Paz is a top 500 support player who specialises in Ana and makes a whole variety of educational content from guides to tier lists to when to pick a hero. Heβs got great consistency in his uploads (Which many don't have) and his guides are pretty in-depth (Especially compared to a channel like Your Overwatch). My biggest critique is that some of his videos seem to be a bit bloated or unnecessary β For example, I don't think it's solely necessary to have a long video explaining when to pick a hero (E.G. Orisa - Pick her for double shield comps on long sightlined maps where you might be struggling to close the distance on a hero such as Rein for example. Or to have more survivability in divier comps as sheβs able to shield and shoot at the same time, alongside fortify and halt and her armour beefing her survivability up) With that being said, I still think he makes far better content than your average Joe, at a fraction of the size as well.Β Timestamps would also be a great addition!
Realth - u/The_Realth - https://www.twitch.tv/realth
Realth is predominantly a streamer, and some of you may already know him from his previous posts on the subreddit. The inherent disadvantage streamers have compared to youtubers is that they canβt filter or edit or finely tune the structure of their content as itβs all live, but even then, Realth still does a solid job. Aside from his hot takes and convoluted s

SECTION # 1 FUNDAMENTALS: WHAT GOES BEHIND CREATING GOOD ADS
There is only ONE reason why your ads fail. And if you just fix this one thing - you'll practically never have a client acquisition problem ever again.
The reason is -> Offer - Market - Copywriting MISMATCH
There are 3 ingredients that need to be in PERFECT SYNC with each other - when you're advertising:
9 out 10 campaigns have an Offer - Market - Copy *MISMATCH*
Now you're probably wondering what this has got to do with ads... so let me first define these 3.
Offer: This is the ONE SYSTEM that you have, that takes your clients from "being stuck" to "their goal"... The PACKAGE that takes your clients from point A (pain) to point B (desired state)
Market: This is the EXACT group of people that DESPERATELY NEED your offer because they're in deep pain.
Copywriting: These are the communication tactics to make your offer EXCITING to your market... so clients line up to work with you.
When your offer, your mark

Inserting our standing ovation to IoTeX for applying their technology in the healthcare space. In this article its mentioned that pebble trackers can give live updates with precisely accurate readings of location, motion, humidity, pressure, light and more. I'm optimistic about them bringing the machine economy of the IoTex blockchain to real world problems in healthcare. After reading through the developer material on their site it became apparent that there are no shortage of use cases in this space if you know where to look.

For hospitals-Consider Material Management teams receiving PPE, perishable & fragile supplies being brought into the facility. Imagine for a moment the hospital materials manager goes up to the patient floor, looks in the floor stock of medical supplies used for patient care and discovers they are running below the acceptable par level for PPE masks. This audit triggers them to order 6 crates of N95 masks. Most of the time these show up and are wheeled into the facility by the shipper but in this case they just left them on the loading dock in the hot summer sun. If the mask containers have a pebble tracker in them we can confirm time on the loading dock and maximum temperature reached. Assuming the packaged didn't exceed recommended temperature and potentially denature the filter mechanisms of the mask then we should be confident in using them.
Pharmacy operations need this. In US hospitals the pharmacy has a Certified Pharmacy Technician who they call the buyer. The buyer identifies what needs to be purchased from Saline IV bags to pills, creams, ointments, injectables etc. to keep the pharmacy stocked with supplies. These products are ordered from a wholesaler often using their proprietary website. Some of the main wholesalers these facilities buy from are Amerisource Bergen, McKesson or Cardinal. When the order for say 1 Liter bags of saline is placed with McKesson that company will package that product in blue plastic crimp crates and shi

Subboor Ahmad (a Muslim creationist) has invited the young earth creationist Paul Nelson to make a bunch of videos on his apologist channel to "test" common descent that he knows Paul Nelson has never published anywhere credible. I've already debunked the first 3 parts of this ongoing series:
Debunking young earth creationist Paul Nelson's attempt to "test" common descent
Debunking Paul Nelson's "test" for common descent, again
Debunking another of Paul Nelson's "test" for common descent
I'm now debunking the fourth and (so far) last part.
Testing Universal Common Descent - Part 4 - Dr Paul Nelson
As the video begins, Paul Nelson informs that he's writing a book on testing common descent. No better way to cash in on your pseudoscience! The video begins with him recapping on his earlier misrepresentations of the subject from Part 3, so see my refutation of Part 3 above for more on that. He also begins with his transition and origination probabilities again, so best to see my refutation of part 3 where he introduces that idea as well. But to put it simply: the origination probability is the probability that something can originate independently, whereas the transition probability is the probability of one thing transitioning into another, e.g. earlier apes to modern humans.
Paul Nelson tells us that common ancestry is an inference made by assuming that the major evolutionary transitions are very low-probability events which happened once. And because they only happened once, any organism with those evolutionary features must go back and so have common ancestry to that origination event. Paul thinks that singular origins is an "assumption" and that you can equally just "assume" multiple origins for the event by assuming a high origination probability for the evolved feature in question, which means that common ancestry is based on a baseless assumption that can just be reversed.
Here, Paul is either just lying or has no clue what he's talking about. When evolutionary biologists say th

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
Usually after conventions we see posts in this subreddit with first reactions to games folks were able to play. I didn't see any such post for PAX Unplugged 2021, so now that we're squarely in the shadow of the convention I figured I'd get a thread started to see what everyone felt about the games they got their hands on. If you went to PAXU 2021, what did you like? What didn't you like? And if you couldnβt attend, is there any game you are particularly interested in hearing more about?
I didn't get a chance to play many games in the First Look section, but my thoughts on the ones I did play are below in no particular order. Note, some of the games have already come out but were still considered First Looks:
Riverside (7.5/10) - I'd never played a roll/flip/whatever and write game before, but after a recommendation I gave this one a shot. I'm glad I did, because it was great. There was a decent amount of rules overheard, but once you get the core loop down it flows smoothly and really gives players a deep efficiency puzzle where you'll be crunching numbers in your head more than expected. The modular nature of the board tiles is a huge plus. I'd love to play this one some more and I'm not sure how I hadn't heard of it before.
MicroMacro: Crime City - Full House (8/10): My wife and I has always been skeptical of the MicroMacro games, but we are now converts. I can't compare it to the original game because I haven't played it, but Full House was very engaging. One thing I'd note is that while there are little symbols indicating the more "mature" quests, I assume parents may have a tough time avoiding subjects because the map obviously still has people getting robbed, killed, kidnapped, etc.
Kabuto Sumo (7/10): It's a quick delight to play and the component quality is great, but I worry about the balance between the different wrestlers. Good, but for the type of game it is we're not sure we'd pay MSRP ($39) for it.
Kingdomino Origins (8/10): Another game that's already out, and if you like OG Kingdomino you'll enjoy this version. The base mode is only a little different than the original, but the other modes add some spice. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in Kingdomino that doesn't already have the original; it's strictly better.
The LOOP (6/10): I had high expectations, but I was left disappointed. Each turn felt kinda samey (admittedly a problem for many co-op games) and it seemed like a lot of the time you're just increment

Why not, but its landing in the Netflix-esque lock-up only consolidated its paradoxical demise by the precipitous popularity wave it gathered (and wouldnβt that despite all subsequent awareness undermine its main thesis, all shiny and glossed for an easy swallow?).
But where Squid Game failed in its perfunctory function, the new Korean cinema over the last years intercepts and tackles with tenderness and satire as its munition the discrepancies and tears pertaining to our mundane existence - Bong Joon Hoβs Parasyte does just that with its architectonical layout chewing over the irreconcilable natures inherent to abysmal class divides and thus lets us view the Kim family worming its way in the idyllic lifestyle of the nescient Parks they feast upon, only to ultimately and literally deluge.
Microhabitat is such one movie and Jeon Go-woonβs debut feature catches the apparent and preordained aspect of our lives in heartful and wistful vignettes. We follow Miso (literally βsmileβ) a woman in her 30s and her unconventional lifestyle - she lives in a cramped room devoid of heating for which she still pays rent in the realm of Seulβs hyperpolis capitalism, works sporadically as a cleaning lady for wealthier acquaintances and this too only for her to reach her monthly buget and source of desire - a pack of cigarettes and glass of whiskey at the finale of the day she indulges in temperately. When her βlandlordβ raises the bill and economy the price of cigs, Miso packs all her belongings and now migrates the mazy streets of the city in search of a place to stay - in doing so she visits her old college acquaintances and former band members hoping to salvage her own independence for the moment.
We could be entitled to scrutinize Miso for her choices - she prioritizes her indulgences, in the eyes of others, over even bare-minimum housing - and yet there is a poignant dignity in how she carries herself and acts. Without wallowing in her situation (she is an orphan and dropout from college due to it) she cleans and cooks as single ways of showing gratitude and thankfulness coupled with kindness, even to t

We care most about the long-term success of StrongNode and the ecosystem we are building. For any legitimate project thatβs building a massive network with a micro-economy, there should always be the focus and extensive thought put into the tokenomics and the utilities that the token offers. At StrongNode, this drives certain decisions that our extremely experienced team and partners think are best to accomplish building a sustainable and scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company and everything that we are building along with that.

As a project like StrongNode progresses towards the October 21 IDO date and beyond, we continue to bring on strategic partners and very smart team members that are constantly ideating, sharing their experiences and expertise, and developing new strategies and opportunities that we might not be able to publicly share yet but drives our decision making. One recent decision was to add a no-cliff 4 month vesting period on the IDO public sale, where the public sale buyers get 20% at the token generation event (TGE) and 100% of the tokens by month 4 (February).
Although every team wants everything to always go as planned, companies need to be agile and always make informed decisions that drive the company's mission forward. It is important to never hide behind a lack of transparency due to fear of possibly losing investors. Here at StrongNode, we are driven by the belief that candor and transparency are necessary to enable and build trust. These company values are driven by our core beliefs as individuals and a company to always do whatβs right. This is why we are locking up the core team and developer allocations for 4 years with a 1-year cliff and advisors have theirs vesting over 4 years as well. We all believe in the longevity of StrongNode and the technology we are building β tl;dr we are here for the long haul.
