A list of puns related to "Michael Kiwanuka"
I just want to show some appreciation for Michael Kiwanuka and I found it funny that I suddenly found myself singing βI'm a black man in a white worldβ as a very white and blond man.
Iβm usually not that good with listening to entire albums but ended up listening to Love & Hate and I can honestly say that every song on that album is fantastic.
Priced to be under discogs median all around. Shipping is a flat $5 for any amount of records, prefer to ship to Continental US only but if you're international PM me and we can try and work something out. All records come with a Big Fudge poly outer because it makes 'em look purdy.
Artist | Album | Condition (Record/Sleeve) | Notes | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|
HEALTH & Nine Inch Nails | Isn't Everyone, 7' single | NM/VG+ | Played once, sounds great and includes Health-branded sticker and condom. Record arrived unsealed, and has a small 1' seam split on the top part of the sleeve but it doesn't protrude up much. Otherwise in very great condition. | $60 |
Dumbo Gets Mad | Thank You Neil | M/NM | Unplayed new copy, with shrink attached. Record taken out of sleeve but unplayed. Italian psych-pop group, limited run of 300. | $55 |
Coldplay | Music of the Spheres | M/M | Limited "Infinity Station Edition" vinyl, alt packaging and cover. Sealed and in perfect condition, recycled vinyl color unknown. | $40 |
Guster | Easy Wonderful | NM/NM | Rainbow Splatter vinyl, one of the best looking records I own. Pressing sounds decent, side A played once. | $40 |
Junior Kimbrough | First Recordings | NM/NM | Clear and Black Smoke "Salt and Pepper" Fat Possum records exclusive vinyl, limited to 200. Includes two new alt takes previously unreleased. | $32.50 |
Michael Kiwanuka | Love & Hate | VG+/VG | Great release from rock & soul artist Michael Kiwanuka. Pressing has some surface noise at times and some signs of wear but mainly cosmetic, and compared to what I've read about some copies this sounds pretty good overall. Sleeve has signs of wear on the edges and corners but overall is a solid copy. | $27.50 |
Justice | Cross, 2015 repress | NM/G++ | Records are in great shape and sound awesome. Mix is punchy and full of range. Sleeve is G++ due to some significant heat damage inside of the gatefold that makes a good portion look "crusty." Pic is included [here](). There is some very minor ringwear on the front cover, as well as some small cosmetic marking throughout the sleeve. The front cover itself looks very good and looks pretty much normal, but obviously the gatefold condition affects the grading. No CD included unfortunately, lost that shit at some point. | ~$25~ SOLD |

Iβve really loved Michael Kiwanukaβs last two albums. I loved the production on the last one especially which led me to Inflo and I gave Sault a listen but never fully immersed myself in it. Then came Adeleβs album with Inflo and her discussing Michaelβs album, now Iβm back to trying Sault and love it. I also downloaded Cleo soulβs album to try. Iβd already listened to Adeleβs album a couple of times and was in awe of the production. But now I piece it altogether Iβm feeling like itβs really lifted a template of Michaelβs album, Saultβs stuff and obv Infloβs vibe and pulled it altogether. What felt fresh and new to me, what excited me about the Adele album (her experimentation in production) now feels slightly less exciting because I can see sheβs taken it from Michael and infloβs work. I mean itβs still a great album and I love all their work. It just annoys me that Iβm seeing it as not as fresh as I did originally. Blah - I need to get over it and just enjoy the great music out there and stop overthinking! Thank you for listening if you are still reading this lol.
His 2022 dates start in May. Potential?
I wonβt even describe the music but I think you guys will love it.
Im trying to emulate the sounds of artists I like, and learn as much as I can about their processes. Im interested if y'all think these vst's would be useful for the kind of music I want to make, or if the are are better ones. I know omni is heavily used in hip-hop stuff. But if I dont have access to a real piano and a neumann mic, is keyscape a good enough substitute for now?
some of the songs I really like sound like they're just a piano, guitar and vocals. and maybe a string section? but I think they can be live tracked so im not sure how to go about it. Im not sure if some of the pad sounding elements are vst's or actual instruments. I hope im making sense. Thanks for the help in advance.
Probably gets asked a lot but looked for some more music recs. Or could be anything of soul/indie variety
