A list of puns related to "Michael Enright"
Listen here: https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/2641853464
Originally broadcast Dec 21, 2014 An interesting segment; with guest host Robert Harris. Thought it was amusing the first time I heard it. I don't agree with all the choices (good heavens, Gene Autry?? How old are these guys?), but anyways, thought the commentary & background history fun & interesting!

Robert Harris shares his picks for the best and worst Christmas music (comments in italics by Robert Harris and/or Michael Enright):
>Kenny G - White Christmas
Brings back memories of great elevator rides. Cheesiest guy I could find - because that's a terrible piece of music
Carrie Underwood - The First Noel
That's the way I sang that song when I was 8. The First Noel is a magnificent piece of music and it's just been destroyed.
The Three Tenors (Domingo, Pavarotti, Carreras) - Happy Christmas [War is Over]
overblown Christmas music - problematic among classical artists who do Christmas albums. Sounds like it could be conducted by Cecil B. DeMille. They sound like gondoliers
Bob Dylan - O Little Town of Bethlehem
Beyond human understanding. A mystery of the universe. Is he pulling our leg?
Aaron Neville - Let It Snow
Great version of this modern 1945 Christmas classic
Gene Autry - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Santa and Jesus become conflated. Santa is the messiah
Gene Autry - Here Comes Santa Claus
Santa Claus is a socialist. Santa Claus doesn't care if you're rich or poor.
Duke Ellington - Nutcracker Suite
One of the greatest Christmas overtures of all time. The whole album is wonderful.
James Brown - Santa's Got a Brand New Bag
A cry from the ghetto
B.B. King - Merry Christmas, Baby
Great song.
Mel TormΓ© - Christmas Time Is Here
Take a listen to what a Christmas song can be
Maureen McGovern - The Christmas Song
As good as it gets.
CBC Radio really needs to revisit this theme, and update it with songs & carols that are a little more contemporary.

Enright was interviewing a guest, something about puffins, something bad for them. This was, I think, around 2002-ish. He starts laughing, can't stop. Tries to re-start the interview, loses it again. About 10 mins later in an unrelated segments, he breaks down laughing again. It was hilarious, but I can't find any reference to it.
Does anyone else remember this?
