A list of puns related to "Melissa Mathison"
Looking for a copy of BFG by Melissa Mathison. And a copy of Catch Me If You Can, I'm analysing the opening 10 pages of scripts directed by Spielberg to better understand a bit more about pacing and character introductions.

There was a recent discussion on FDS about abusers who initially play the role of rescuer and "champion of women's rights" when courting new victims. This called my attention to a recent rash of news coverage of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, two actors I'd never otherwise had much interest in. Fisher sometimes seemed snipey to other women and Ford's "baffled integrity" act is cloying. But the drama involving them illustrates a few important things that I'm passionate about.
As the story goes, during the filming of Star Wars, 19 yo Carrie Fisher was "rescued" by married, 33 yo Ford when a crew member nearly abducted a very drunk and disoriented Fisher from a production party. Ford then left the party with and had sex with Fisher-- who's own famous father had cheated on and abandoned Fisher's famous mother. Fisher dreamed of marrying the actor but the affair soon ended. Ford's first wife shortly divorced Ford. Ford went on to embark on two progressively age gapped marriages and a career of leading man roles involving age gap love interests in which he generally emits cloying baffled integrity.
Ford's health seems to be pretty good and he's "spry" for his age. His first wife developed MS following the divorce from Ford. His second wife, E.T. screenwriter and activist Melissa Mathison, lost her battle with cancer and died shortly after Ford's third marriage to Calista Flockhart. Fisher died with cocaine, MDNA, morphine and heroin in her system, addictions that reportedly began during the filming of Star Wars.
There are some classic themes in the celeb saga. One is how many abused, betrayed and mistreated women seem to develop MS and cancer, not to mention suffering higher rates of substance addiction following trauma. Scary topic with science behind it. Secondly there's the issue of what Holocaust survivor and historian Primo Levi calls the "gray zone" of victims who repeatedly participate in and abet perpetrators in the victimization of others, drawn from his observation of death camp "kapos" --prisoners who would inform on and persecute other prisoners as a means of groveling for scraps and amnesty. Fisher had a history of betraying female friends in competition for men though, as Levi powerfully argues regarding kapos, this cannot be used to blur the lines between victims and victimizer

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
So far nobody has given me a straight answer
I am currently in the hospital. I had a back operation yesterday. The surgical nurse came in my room and started asking questions about my back. She asked me if I had any falls during the last year. I responded just one. It was after summer.
She laughed and said in 20 years of doing this she never was told that joke.
..... Will get a reward.
Because they work on many levels

Martin Freeman, and Andy Serkis.

The people in the comment section is why I love this subreddit!!
Cred once again my sis wants credit lol
Keep in mind, my son is 4 years old, so everything is an original to him.
I had to work late into the evening yesterday, and he was just going to bed when I got home. I had left home for the office nearly 14 hours prior, had a long day, lots of meetings, traffic, etc.
When I walked through the door, I was exhausted, run down, and starving. My wife hugged me and asked how my day was, and I replied, "Done. It was a good day, but has got me exhausted. I just want to grab a bite and go to bed. I'm hungry."
From my son's bedroom, I hear him shout, "Hi Hungry! Nice to meet you!"
Not only did it make me laugh, but I completely forgot about how hungry and tired I was. I went to his bedroom, and we laughed together about it. It was exactly what I needed.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards, kind strangers! I'll let my son know y'all enjoyed his joke too!
I heard parents named their children lance a lot.
First post please don't kill me
Edit: i went to sleep and now my inbox is dead, thank you kind strangers for the awards!
