Courtney Garcia - Garcia is a Spanish name I associate with schools cause I knew a bunch of Garcias
Jacques Frere - Inspired on the classic folk song
Josee Dubois - Based on the animal control character from Madagascar 3
Joan Elliot - A nod to the VA of the character
Heather Wilson - Same as Jo
Owen Goodman - A reference to John Goodman
Sammy and Amy Brookes - I HC They came from the states, and they were around the NYC area before moving to Canada, and so Brookes is a new Yorker sounding name.
Emma and Kitty Chang - they are probably Chinese, so Chang was a name that fits, sorry if this is insensitive.
Trent McCord - Another reference to the VA, of all the ones he voiced McCord fits Trent the most
Ella Whiton - Because of Snow White
Dawn Lovegood - Because of harry potter
Tyler Hanson - Because he looks like a Hanson, also his fingers are on his hands, so wordplay
Gwen Fahlenbock - As a tribute to her VA Megan Fahlenbock
Taylor George - Because she is a mean girl ;)
Sky Fonda - I HC her father is Cree, and Fonda seems like a name that fits that race
Zoey Ruby - A reference to her Red color scheme

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Consider the age-old question for a moment here…
Who is your favorite fictional character of all time?
Now, I know this is a loaded question. There are MANY fictional characters out there, in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with all sorts of different personalities and quirks to them. So if you can’t seem to come up with an answer…really think for a second.
What character brings you more joy than any other when they’re onscreen? What character helps you smile and is always able to make you feel good? If you feel down, what character helps bring you back up? And are there characters that inspire you to be a better person?
Stuff like that is what matters. Characters who make you happier than anything else. There are bound to be some that stick out in your mind. Some that really touch your heart and make you feel good when you think about them.
Well, I have one of those characters. A character who, in my darkest time, was an absolute ray of light in the shadows. Someone who gave me a reason to smile. Someone who told me that, no matter what I thought of myself, I was worth it. She was someone that I needed in my life, and I’m so happy I found her.
So let’s talk about the lovable lemonhead, the shopper supreme, the Men's Lady™…Caitlin Cooke.

Now, where to really begin on this post? Well...it's difficult to really know where to start. While 6teen isn't the most complicated series, the way it's intertwined itself into my life, especially with this one particular character, is definitely tricky to explain.
First and foremost...what is 6teen? Well, if you've been following me for a while, you know I mostly hang out on r/Totaldrama, a sub about a fun little cartoon that lampoons reality TV. So why should this matter? Well, Total Drama was brought to our screens by the wonderful people at FreshTV, a Canadian television company. 6teen is another show of theirs, getting its start in the bygone age of 2004. A co-production with Nelvana Ltd, 6teen focuses on a group of, well, six 16-year-olds working at a mall, going on dates, hanging out and just doing things that teenagers like doing. Ridonculous Race cast was challenging as every character needed to be part of a team, and the writers decided to make many teams as complementary, if any of you have tried to write OCs you know this isn't easy, yes you can make the 32 characters unique but as they will be eliminated quite fast it will be a lot of wasted effort. But sometimes miracles happen. and that was the Genius case
The Goddess we know as Mary is a "lightning in a bottle" a miracle that you don't know how you create, her design is so powerful that you don't need her to speak to make an impact, her design saying anything, the glasses to emphasize she is smart, simple for practical clothes and of course the McGravy style nose that evokes Harold (maybe a relative?) and make us realize she is full of mad skills.
During the competence, she is a machine, efficient and unstoppable, she doesn't flatter at the insects and thanks to her drinking spicy food recover from a 12 to a 7th place, then in her next and last challenge her awesome presence scares the sharks, and she later says it was magnets as a sign of humbleness. Her most wholesome moment was following Ellody's planning even if she was aware they were going to lose.
Well, this time I took a few liberties, Mary goes rather soon and is one of the characters made to complement in the same way as the original, being also a smart socially awkward girl. Her design is interesting and would be interesting seeing her again, after all, TD usually makes characters with low screen time into fan favorites.
Also, today is Megan Fahlenbock, so Mary in all her goddess grace will let me also extend a Happy Birthday to the VA of my favorite girl.

Hc of the day Geniuses: Ellody and Mary are not the most social people, especially Mary seems a lot quieter than Ellody, but with her friends, she is even more chatty than Ellody. In summer, they used to prefer to stay at home and play games, like who could memorize more roads and streets on a map or telling secret messages using the periodic table. ( For example, 153 is HI (1 Hydrogen and 53 Iodine.) But after losing in RR, they also go to the beach and forest, just to be familiarized with the environment and prevent future issues if they compete again.

The Total Drama voice cast is full of talented individuals, working to bring our favorite characters to life! Here we can discuss them all and name our favorites.
Personally my favorite is Emilie-Claire Barlow, voice of Courtney, Laurie and Ellody. She manages to give them all so much charm and likability (of course this is subjective...), and the three of them manage to stand out very much thanks to her acting chops. Then again, I've had a huge love for Emilie's work in general, she's just an incredible performer in every way.
I also have a love for Stacey DePass (Emma, Crimson) and Jeff Geddis (Devin, Tom). Emma and Devin are two of my top 3 Total Drama characters along with the aforementioned Courtney. Plus I love their work in other shows!

... keep reading on reddit ➡The simple explanation is that some of the voice actors are just better singers than others. Unless the purpose of a song is to sound bad as a joke (like Lindsay’s singing in Rock’ N’ Rule), you need people who can actually sing and only a small percentage of the actors on the show really seem to fit that criteria.
Emilie-Claire Barlow (Courtney) is, of course, an accomplished singer. Kristin Fairlie (Bridgette) can also sing very well. From what I’ve heard of Rachel Wilson (Heather), she can carry a tune as well. It’s no surprise that these three were given long portions (or even entire) songs to themselves while everyone else were only given small snippets.
The rest of the actors just don’t fare as well. Cody usually gets a lot of heat for his lack of singing, but I heard that Peter Oldring once mentioned in an interview that singing is not his strength. That might just be a dumb internet rumor, but considering how awful Ezekiel sounds in the non-autotuned version of Come Fly With Us, I can certainly believe it. Cody‘s singing is I’m Gonna Make It sounds pretty decent, but that could be because his portion of the song doesn’t have any high notes in it and isn’t very demanding on Peter’s vocal cords (except at the end where it’s deliberately supposed to sound off-key because he’s not singing so much as shouting in fear). His singing in Condors isn’t as good.
Leshawna‘s singing in Come Fly With Us is also pretty bad. I don’t remember Gwen singing all that much either and I can see why. I thought her singing in Greek Mix was pretty terrible. Sorry Megan Fahlenbock. 🙁
Songs where Courtney, Heather, and Bridgette sing a lot tend to be the most popular songs while the others are pretty forgettable. I don’t like the song Bridgette sings in the first Aftermath, but that’s only because I think the lyrics are bad. Her voice is still nice. I think Before We Die is a really fun number in the show, but that has more to do with the visual imagery of it than the overall quality of the singing.

The competition heated way up when Owen and Noah were the last members of Team I Am So Freakin Hot. They knew they had to win this challenge or they’d be pitted against each other. Or so they thought. Ha Ha.
(Then to Gwen and Courtney arguing)
Gwen and Courtney’s rivalry continued greatly throughout the challenge.
(Then to Heather comforting Gwen)
Shockingly, Heather actually tried to cheer up her old enemy, Gwen. Who seem to have a mutual respect at this point.

At the end of the challenge, Owen used his old noggin and destroyed Gwen’s face with his fist. That’s a sentence I never thought I’d say out loud.

In the end, Courtney would’ve been gone had it not been a reward challenge. So the Gwen and Courtney conflict continues yet again.
