An MD2/Timespace challenge team-building checklist for Mikage.
I'm seeing a lot of "Mikage teambuilding help for MD2?" posts and figured I'd make a post for everyone who wants help/clarification here.
Mikage is a lead that really shines in this dungeon for a lot of reasons, and they can be rolled at a 1% rate right now while having a semi-flexible sub pool. So it feels like a nobrainer to make a checklist like this. (They're also one of my favorite leads + PAD characters, so maybe I'm a little biased...)
If I'm missing something / put something in the wrong category, let me know and I'll fix that. :p
Also, remember to filter your box! You can search by awakenings: I recommend filtering for hazard immunities, VDP, SBR, and the "equip" awakening + what you want in an equip. You can also filter by skills: "time", "lock", "unmatch", "absorp"/"absorption", "charge", and "delay" are all good keywords.
Necessary Team Features:
- 25 SB or functional 25 SB (with haste/delay)
- 60k+ HP
(Just over 62k is ideal so you can sponge water Myr's 1.5m hit with an extra 35% shield up; you can also do some research and math to make the hit feasible with Water Resistance latents. That said, 60k HP or higher is generally pretty safe for everything in this dungeon, just do the math on specific hits if you're worried.)
- 60%-100% SBR
(Depending on how much you want to gamble stamina on the first floor. 80% is my preferred, but I still get skill bound 3 times in a row!)
- 4x SDR latents on each Mikage. 6 isn't necessary, put a killer in that last slot (see further below).
- 3 turn+ delay (to wait out Fl1 debuffs)
- Time + unlock utility on 2 turn CD or less
- Unmatchable clear (for Dark unmatchable situations)
- Damage absorb null (Fl3 + Fl4; 2 turns minimum, 3 turns is safest)
- Blind immunity (stickyblind is not fun even if you can scout your Dark orbs by locking them)
- Jammer AND/OR Poison immunity (both are great if possible, but have at least one for sure)
- Tape AND/OR Cloud immunity (it's easy to have both, but if somehow you can't do both, you want at least one)
- At least 1 other VDP card besides your two Mikages (for Paimon, fl14 Myr, etc)
- At least 1 Damage Cap latent monster (though you REALLY want 2)
- Arguably HChakeol is a necessary sub due to her sheer damage and her looping shield (which makes it much easier to heal up after hits and makes the last few floors much easier), but I want to say it's possible without her.
Optional but HIGHLY recommended things:
- Dark rows (preferably 5 o
