A list of puns related to "Mccarthey Athletic Center"
A 6,000 capacity just seems really small for a program of that magnitude.
This was posted this morning. Thoughts?
Just found out about it this morning!! If you visit marcproject.org you can take a survey for what features you want! Iβd love some public tennis courts, an affordable gymβ¦a lazy river and water slides would also be incredible.
Here are Ray Felix's career stats. He was an athletic 6-ft-11 center, the #1 pick in the 1953 draft, and the 1954 Rookie of Year with 17.6 ppg, 13.3 rpg, and .417 FG% (top-5 in all 3 stats), plus he was an All-Star. All of these stats were better than those of Dolph Schayes who played C that year and was 1st-team All-NBA (17.1, 12.1, .380), so it certainly appeared Felix was headed for great things. Instead his team traded him that summer and his minutes were cut dramatically by the Knicks, his new team. His efficiency stayed high, and he was even 8th in MVP voting in β57 despite playing only 22 minutes/game, but his career just kinda faded away. He eventually finished with the Lakers in the early-60βs, where he was very close with teammate Elgin Baylor.
I couldn't tell you why Felix's playing time got cut after his very promising rookie season. Was it racism? Was he a his-stats-look-much-better-than-his-actual-value player, a la Hassan Whiteside? I don't know where exactly the answer lies, but it is certainly odd that someone with better stats than a 1st-team All-NBA Hall of Famer just kinda faded away.
From Ray Felix's Wikipedia page:
> Felix had an incident with future Hall of Famer Bill Russell in Russell's rookie season, when after Russell felt Felix had been trying to intimidate him, he knocked Felix unconscious with a punch to the head.
> Toward the end of his career, after having several of his shots blocked by Russell, Felix took the ball then flung it off the side of the backboard, saying to Russell, smiling, "You didn't get that one!"
Theyβre running a fine-print scam in membership cancellations: charging you between $100 to $200+ to stop. Theyβre like βWhy didnβt you ask about it?β
A place where they have some lessons. If there is a pool, it's a plus.
Cam Durham residents get access to Duke facilities somehow without being a student, staff, faculty, or alumni?
Can the general student body use WAC? Are there open events or is it solely for athletes

Our Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that Harden had verbal confrontations with teammates in a Monday practice, with rookie JaeβSean Tate part of a heated exchange that included Harden throwing a ball in his direction. Sources say the root of Hardenβs exchanges was the nature of an intrasquad scrimmage during Mondayβs practice. A source says the second unit β which included Tate and backup center DeMarcus Cousins β were outplaying the starters. According to a source, at one point, Tate scored a tough basket on Harden and let him know about it, which prompted the exchange.

This is some of the best news in a while. We may only be weeks away from seeing a full capacity crowd and I can't wait!! Even 50% will be fun!
First, no crowds was cool and wasnt a huge deal, then the novelty wore off and ever since it's sucked badly.
I cannot wait for this.

On the NYU website, it seems like all the athletic facilities are still closed.

Does anyone know if the Palladium will be open in the fall? If not, any recommendations for pools in the city that have adult swim lessons? TIA
Gorgui Dieng
Dewayne Dedmon
Willy Hernangomez
JaVale McGee
Paragraph from the article:
What makes it challenging for the Hawks to address a backup center spot is the understanding from whomever they sign that Okongwu wonβt be out for the entire season, and when he is healthy, heβs likely going to slot back into the No. 2 spot behind Capela. That likely limits who would want to join Atlanta in free agency. The Hawks are also likely going to operate as an over-the-cap team, so that also cuts into the options they could sign. So what weβre looking at are players who could make around the minimum. San Antonio center Gorgui Dieng would be a great addition to fill this spot. The Hawks realistically needed a veteran center even if Okongwu were healthy. Dieng holds up defensively and can space out to the corners. Dedmon also fits this role, though the team just traded him this past season for Tony Snell. New Orleansβ Willy Hernangomez could fit as a pick-and-roll threat. Denverβs JaVale McGee is a good finisher who can block shots.
One thing working in the Hawksβ favor is there are numerous big men who could be signed to a cheap deal that can just fill gaps, particularly if the plan is to have Collins be the primary option as the backup center.

Washington Football Team fan here. Love seeing the Cowboys implode this season. A lot of sources I read say that McCarthey is to blame, and that he seemed βlostβ the last few years in GB. Can you guys help me understand what they mean? His win/loss record is pretty great with you guys so I always assumed he was doing a good job. But the consensus seems to be otherwise. Any insight / summary of McCartheys decline from a GB perspective would help. Thanks!
I srsly think we need an athletic center, I mean looney is gud but he is not that athletic cause of which draymond has to come for help every time leaving his man open. Who do you think are the athletic center's available rn I mean we need to sign someone by may 2 so who will be the best for this rooster?
