So, Iβm considering joining my top interest is Public Affairs specialist. I know this is generally a very long wait, sometimes 4+ years apparently (?), but does anyone know the current wait time for this school? Thank you!
Hi,
I just got my MA from a grande Γ©cole in France and am now deciding what to do with my life.
My end goal is to get French citizenship and I understand that because I have a French masters it only takes 2 years (+18 months processing) to get citizenship in France.
My question is, if I go to the United States to work for 1-2 years and then come back on a recherche d'emploi residence permit (and assuming I actually find a job), is this 2-year citizenship still available or would it go back to the standard 5 years since I didn't do it directly after my MA?
EDIT: If it matters I am currently a dual US/Canada citizen.
I recently was accepted to the GPSIA Masters program and just had some questions about the french requirement and was hoping some people here would know.
I know that you must take a class in french but are you able to write the assignments and exam in english? My french is rudimentary however they say you need passive oral language skills to attend it, does this mean somehow I overstated my french, I didn't put french anywhere in my letter or resume.
I have not heard back from the 7 other schools I have applied to yet and I am assuming if that is the case it might be good news. How can I go about comparing financial aid packages at every school and even using every admission offer to get a better financial aid deal ? How does this process work?
9(1)(c) Applicants with exceptional circumstances in the public interest
Legal Requirement
Section 9(1)(c)
Policy
Exceptional circumstances
Assessment of exceptional circumstances is made on a case-by-case basis, having regard to the applicantβs particular situation. The exceptional circumstances criterion is a difficult test. Although some applicantsβ circumstances may be unusual or cause some degree of hardship, such cases are unlikely to be instances of exceptional circumstances.
While an applicantβs βexceptional circumstancesβ may not be unique or without precedence the case should be relatively rare and uncommon.
Public interest
Assessment of whether it would be in the public interest for a person to be granted citizenship requires that the public interest factor should:
β’ arise directly from the applicant's exceptional circumstances, and
β’ provide some advantage, or positive benefit to New Zealand.
