What about this translation is out-of-date nowadays compared to translations done by modern Sanskrit scholars?

Was it a good translation for its time, or did it distort or degrade the Upanishads, as many Hindus seem to argue?

I want to read the Upanishads, and the copy I have is of the Max Müller translation. Apart from the fact that it doesn't contain the entirety of the Upanishads, is there anything wrong with this translation?

This irish man who is literally unknown in ireland has become significant western figure among sikh throughout world.

This man even tho was an irish refered himself as an English Man throughout his life. He arrived in Bengal,India in 1864 passing the IAS exam in 1862. He was known as Michael McAuliffe back then but he changed his name to Max Arthur Macauliffe in Honor of Max Muller the well known Manipulator of Hindu scriptures. My prompt was to weave together the arguments three of the philosophers/scholars/anthropologists we have study thus far in the semester on any topic in the style of The New York Review of Books. I've decided to examine how Freud, Müller and Eliade examine religious Truth, comparing and contrasting. So far my basic argument is that Freud doesn't believe there is religious truth, Müller believes each religion contains "seeds" of truth, and Eliade believes there is a divine truth hidden in all of our religious experiences. I'm worried I won't have enough to fill 6-8 pages, so if anyone has any good ideas, suggestions or quotes to help flesh this out, I would really appreciate it. Ich liebäugele gerade mit der Anschaffung eines E-Lastenrads. Mein aktueller Favorit ist das Riese & Müller Load 60, jedoch ist das Gerät nicht nur der Mercedes unter den E-Bikes, sondern ruft auch entsprechende Preise auf. Da ich mir mittlerweile die Finger wund gegoogelt hab dachte ich mir ich frag hier mal, ob jemand noch ne coole Alternative kennt.

Wir wollen das Rad vor allem für alle lokalen Erledigungen nutzen sowie unseren Hund mitnehmen können, deshalb hab ich grob folgende Anforderungen ans Rad:

• Motorisiert, Motorhersteller eigentlich egal.
• Long John Bauweise, also einspurig mit Ladefläche vorm Fahrer
• Seitenwände für die Ladefläche, so dass genug Platz für einen mittelgroßen Hund (Labrador) ist
• genug Platz für einen Wocheneinkauf für einen zwei Personen Haushalt
• Federung, wenn möglich vollgefedert, gerade mit Hintergedanken nicht jedes Schlagloch an den Hund durchzureichen und auch mal durch den Wald zu können

Kosten sollte das Ganze wenn möglich max 6000€, ein wenig Spielraum gibts aber schon. Folgende Räder hab ich mir bisher angeschaut

 

R&M Load 60:

Für unsere aktuellen Anforderungen die eierlegende Wollmilchsau, jedoch sind wir mit unserer Konfiguration bei 7,5k€, was doch deutlich über unserem Budget liegt.

eBullitt:

Super cooles bike, gerade dadurch, dass es so schmal ist. Jedoch überhaupt keine Federung/Dämpfung und nach den Infos die ich einholen konnte auch ein sehr steifer Rahmen. Deswegen in meinen Augen eher ungeeignet für Off-Road Abenteuer und Hundemitnahme.

Cube Cargo-Hybrid:

Preis-Leistungstechnisch der klare Sieger im Vergleich hier, jedoch gefällt mir die Box vorne überhaupt nicht. Außerdem ist die Box zu hoch, als dass der Hund selbstständig ein und aussteigen könnte, was beim Load 60 möglich ist. Zudem fehlt im Vergleich zum Load 60 auch die Hinterradfederung.

Cargo Factory ONE:

An für sich cooles bike, aber selbst für ein Lastenrad echt unsexy. Deshalb erstmal nicht näher betrachtet.

Muli:

Super cooles Konzept, jedoch für den Hund nicht geeignet.

Und noch ein paar andere wie Urban Arrow, Kettler, Bergamont, und die ganzen Zweispurer.

 

TL;DR: Kennt jemand ne coole und eventuell sogar günstigere Alternative zum Load 60?

Hundebesitzer hier die ihren Vierbeiner im Lastenrad mitnehmen? Wenn ja, welches Modell fahrt ihr?
