Made all-time hometown rosters with original 30 NBA teams + 25 new teams to split populated areas and big teams (spreadsheet + map)
I used the top 969 players who have at least 10000 minutes played in their career.
Why 10000 minutes played? Because that's the lower standard set by Basketball-Reference to get on their ABA career leaderboard (15000 MP for NBA). I added George Mikan, because even though he hasn't played enough minutes, he's featured in All-Time ESPN NBARank and Bill Simmons Hall of Fame Pyramid.
I started off with the current 30 teams. To split up the Lakers and Clippers, I gave the Clippers their proposed Inglewood site.
As I looked at the map of player hometowns, I realized that there were:
Based off city population and arena size, I added 25 new teams.
I started off gathering hometowns due to this fantastic database by Reuben Fischer-Baum ([original article source here](https://deadspin.com/infographics-where-do-pro-basketball-players-come-from-5132615

---|
The Eagles surprised a lot of people opening weekend when they made quick work of a rebuilding Falcons team. Jalen Hurts exceeded expectations throwing for 261 yards and 3 TDs including one to Eagles first round pick Devonta Smith. Smith was as advertised hauling in 6 passes and the score. On the other side, the defense struggled early allowing the Falcons to move the ball, but settled down and held the Falcons to just 6 points. The Birds will have a tougher task in their home opener as they welcome the San Francisco 49ers to town. Unlike the Falcons the 49ers have an established coach in Kyle Shannahan and a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. Last week the 49ers defeated the Lions, but they definitely gave their fans some clenched buttholes in the 4th quarter as they let the Lions back in the game. If the Eagles want to move to 2-0, Hurts will need to build off of what he did to the Falcons and keep cool in a pocket that will likely see more pressure from a pass rush led by Nick Bosa. The 49ers may employ a spy to limit the damage Hurts can do with his legs. If they do, Hurts proved last week he can hurt you with his arm when the line gives him time, something that is no easy task against the 49ers. If Hurts does get time the 49ers showed they were vulnerable in that area against Detroit where Jared Goff threw for 338 yards and 3 TDs. On the other side of the ball, the 49ers were explosive against Detroit. Deebo Samuel and Jimmy G hooked up for 189 yards in the win.The 49ers have a bunch of weapons on offense, two key ones Samuel and Kittle could create matchup problems for the Eagles. They will need to replicate their performance from last week where they held Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts. This will be a good measuring stick for the Eagles to determine if they are a contender this year or if last week was a fluke. Should be a good game regardless. Go Birds! |

How the South Carolina House got to 'yes'
By BEN SCHRECKINGER 07/08/2015 Updated 07/09/2015
>With sandy-blond hair and blue eyes, Quinn, 50, is the picture of a good ol’ boy. He’s the descendant of four Confederate veterans, two killed in action, and a proponent of flag removal. He’s the son of Lindsey Graham adviser Richard Quinn, who once edited the neo-Confederate Southern Partisan magazine, and he is also an old friend of Clementa Pinckney, the Democratic state senator and minister who was one of nine black churchgoers slain in Charleston in June, allegedly, by a white supremacist, an attack that put the flag back in the national spotlight.
US Department of Justice- Kevin Marsh Sentencing
>United States District Judge Mary Lewis sentenced Marsh to 24 months in federal prison, to be followed by a three-year term of court-ordered supervision. There is no parole in the federal system. Judge Lewis also imposed a fine of $200,000. Under the terms of his plea agreement, Marsh paid $5 million in federal forfeiture prior to his sentencing.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Obviously some of these were much harder than other. I did 0 research when putting Kobe and Pippen and the number 2 player on their teams. On the other hand, I spent way too much time on pretty much every Spurs team had at least 2 players that had legit arguments for being the 2nd best guy. Overall, I forced myself to pick just one player, even though there were situation like the 1980 Lakers were it was a true 1A/1B combo. For the most part I jus

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
Here are Coleman's career stats. There is nothing special about his stats, but his bread and butter was defense. He was a 6-ft-8 PF drafted in the 3rd round out of Houston Baptist University in 1973 by the newly local Rockets, and he made the squad by focusing on defense since the team was already great offensively. He made a name for himself that rookie season as a defensive specialist off the bench, and he was subsequently snapped up by the New Orleans Jazz in the 1974 Expansion Draft. Coleman stayed with NO for 3 seasons, the longest tenure of the 17 players picked by the Jazz in that draft. He remained a big-time defensive force with the Jazz and was named 1st-team All-Defense in 1977, the first season after the NBA-ABA merger, and his basketball card at that time said:
> E.C.'s ability to play both small and power forward slots gives Jazz an added dimension on defense. He has guarded such as George McGinnis, Elvin Hays, & Spencer Haywood, keeping each under their scoring average. E.C. has great hustle & aggressiveness.
Coleman and Bobby Jones had just replaced John Havlicek and Paul Silas as the 1st-team All-D forwards (Hondo and Silas were 1st-team together in both '75 and '76, but they were 36 and 33 in the '77 season), so Coleman was gaining some real notoriety. Free agency had just begun in 1976, and 1977 was the first summer of several big signings. Here are the most notable free agent signings that year: the Bullets signed Bobby Dandridge, the Sonics signed Gus Williams, the Lakers signed Jamaal Wilkes, the Jazz signed Truck Robinson, the Braves signed Wil Jones, the Knicks signed Jim Cleamons, and the Warriors signed Coleman. He went to the Warriors, remained a feared defender, and earned a 2nd-team All-Defense selection; Maurice Lucas was selected to the 1st-team over him. His basketball card after that season said:
> It was at New Orleans that E.C. emerged as a solid rebounder and an excellent defender. The Jazz called upon him to play opponents' top-scoring forward or big guard.
Coleman then stopped playing only 6 games into the next season at

As all of you should know, it's 9/11. We all know what happened in 2001, but in 2011, there was a planned second terrorist attack, this time via our railroads instead of airlines. This 2011 attack was halted by the assassination of Osama Bin Laden by American forces on May 2nd, 2011.
I have anxiety of terrorism happening, so today's gonna be a bit tough for me, since it's 9/11 in a 20X1 year. The presence of America's brave officers always being around really helps me get through it, knowing they're there to protect me.
