How I met your Mother established Marshall as being gifted in all sorts of games, even picking up on how a chinese gambling game works just by seeing a few rounds. Duel Monsters' mechanics should be easy for him.
The other side of the coin is that in the anime the top duelists not only know how to play but have a connection with their deck. Marshall is a very empathetic person and would likely bond with his cards. Not caring how lame it would make seem to others.
Hello fellow Last Podcast listeners! I’ve recently come into a discussion/debate with my girlfriend regarding the similarities between our own Benjamin Kissel of LPOTL VS the fictional character Marshall Eriksen of How I Met Your Mother. For starters: both are runts from a family of three giant brothers in neighboring northern states ,(Wisconsin & Minnesota), who traveled to New York to pursue their dreams. Obviously there are deviations, but there are also so many similarities I can’t but help but to think there’s some kind of connection?! Am I the only LPOTL/Roundtable fan who has seen these similarities?! I have decided to continue noting these connections with research over the next few weeks, but the similarities are so strange to me?!?!?! Anyone else ever notice these two having connections?!
*Two specific incidents That first come to mind and that I want to research through round table episodes are: Did Bens brothers, or someone else, ever make him drive through a drive thru naked? AND, did Ben have a stuck cassette tape in his first car, more specifically “Im Gonna Be” by The Proclaimers?!
Both incidents I swear I’ve heard Ben mention on Round table whilst also happening to Marshall on HIMYM!

I recently finished watching HIMYM and it kinda made me miss having someone who is just there. A constant from the opposite sex. Tried installing dating app last time but eventually all the swipe left and right bores me. Also I think I really can't feel any connection with someone with a ''Uzap tayo'' bio.

So as we all know Marshall has 2 brothers. One of them being Marcus and the other Marvin Eriksen Jr (Who has an entire family of his own)... so what the hell happened to Marvin then? we never see him after his Dads funeral. Later on in the series it seems like the writers mix up Marvin with Marcus because originally Marcus stayed at home with his parents. Then when Lilly and Marshall are deciding who should be Marvins Godparents they decide it should be Marcus because he is apparently "A Great Father" and then he appears to be in Jamaica because apparently he left his wife and kids. But this confuses me to all hell because how the fuck did he get married and have more than one kid in the span of 1 year since his fathers death? and even if he did then why didn't Marshall and Lilly consider Marvin Jr to take care of him? This has always confused me and I'm wondering if they just forgot about him.

I know lots of you are stressed about grey day, so I figured now would be a perfect time to speculate at Marshall’s LSAT score. The show indicates that he was high basically the whole time in undergrad and gives the example of how he and Ted didn’t study for their Econ finals because they were stoned and both got zeros. If we assume that he wasn’t terrible motivated throughout his college career I think below a 3.0 GPA is likely. Seeing as he gets into Columbia, he would probably need north of 175 to get in. Discuss.
