If you have any questions about FFRK, this is the thread to ask in!
Initial top node comments must be an FFRK related question
This means no random posts about, for example, RNG/Achievements or random PSA/Tips. This is a thread for questions and their responses/conversations ONLY.
While vaccines are starting to be administered in several countries, the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to have a major effect on travel, with many now looking to understand if, when, or how their travels might be feasible. Accordingly, /r/travel is continue its megathreads on a monthly basis until the crisis dissipates.
In the interest of reducing the number of one-off questions, before you post a question about how to deal with your individual travel plans, consider whether your situation is adequately addressed by the following:
A list of travel restrictions can be found in a number of sources, including from IATA or Kayak's travel restriction map. Note that IATA only deals with travel restrictions by air (so it will not speak to any land border restrictions or closures).
You may also do well to check out government and embassy sources from the destination country (and sometimes from your own embassy in the destination country). Because information can change on short notice, it is important to verify the latest information, ideally from government sources.
At the time of writing, foreign nationals are prohibited from entering or transiting the US if they have been in or transited via Brazil, China, Iran, Ireland, the Schengen Area, South Africa, or the UK in the preceding 14 days. Exceptions to this rule include green card holders as well as some family members of US citizens and permanent residents. Note that (except for, of course, US citizens) this is not a citizenship-based restriction; it is purely based on travel history. More information about the entry restrictions and the associated proclamations is available on the US CDC website.
All air passengers (including US citizens and green card holders), regardless of origin and nationality, need to produce a negative result from a viral test taken within 3 days of the first flight on a single ticket to the US. Alternatively, you may travel with a positive test result from the previous 3 months and a letter from a doctor indicating that you're clear for t

This topic is probably one of our most common post type question and request that we remove, and it's been ages since we had a YouTube special post, so it's time for another round of this.
Please note that we're looking for lesser known ones, but feel free to ignore that and list some of the really good bigger ones out there. Self-promotion of channels, sites, or blogs is allowed and encouraged. The only requirement that we have is that it needs to be history related content and not a site that primarily sells things.
I feel like being named Neil Armstrong would make people ask if there's any relation.
How's it not the same for Fry?

In the past there has been some interest in having dedicated discussion threads on non-gamedays. With how this season may potentially pan out & it being shortened, we figured we'd bring these back. Essentially, you're free to chat about anything you'd like. This can be relevant to Rangers and non-Rangers stuff. We'll make new threads accordingly (really depends on how much down time there is in between games); may keep a single thread or update with new ones.
Overall, the thread should help re-direct some of the self posts that have been popping up on the sub lately or if you just want to chat with your fellow Rangers fans :). If there are posts on the sub we deem more suitable for this thread, we may delete your post and request you put it in here instead. Don't feel bad if this happens, it's fine. It's just to help keep the front page clean.
Thanks for your understanding and as always, feel free to message us with any questions or concerns you may have.
Cheers and LGR!
Hi guys.
I am trying to solve this programming problem but it also requires physical knowledge.
Do you have any ideas?
I am trying to solve this way, but I cannot solve this equation.

The exercise ask to write a program that drives the rocket landing with as little fuel (power * time) as possible.
In a 2-dimensional map with no atmosphere. With gravity = 3.711
There are various tests to pass.
In each test the map is provided, in which there will be a plain for landing.
Every second the program sends the signal containing the angle and power = {0,1,2,3,4} to be maintained to the rocket.
Every second the program acquires its new coordinates, the speed, the angle and the power it is holding.
Vertical landing speed must be less than 40 in absolute value.
Horizontal landing speed must be less than 20 in absolute value.
Since the map is already known from the beginning of the test and the coordinates and the initial speed of the rocket are also known
I think I can solve it by imagining that there are two vectors "a" and "b", with vector "a" carrying the rocket towards the plain, and vector "b" which decelerates to have the speed within the limit.
The Book by George R. R. Martin. One of the chapter was written by James S. A. Corey. I have read intro looks like great book to me. Anyone have read it?
I am a junior in IB, currently thinking about what I want to do for my EE. Always been interested in space, and a mars landing will hopefully be happening in our lifetime, so I thought I should write about it. I was hooping to get some advice relating to what exactly I could hone in on, I've heard countless times that you need to be specific. I was thinking how the bases could be set up, how the landing could be executed, how the launch could be executed, etc. I was hoping to get into something more theoretical, but I've read in many places that physics papers are more likely to succeed if they are experimental. If anyone has any advice, ideas, suggestions, or critics, please let me know, I would really appreciate it.
I catalogued 818 craters on the surface of Mars, in a region lying between latitudes +20Β°N...+35Β°N and between longitudes 285Β°E...315Β°E (planetocentric). The aim of the exercise is to name all craters with a diameter above 10km following IAU rules and guidelines. Filtering for diameters > 10km and removing all craters already present in the IAU catalogue, I'm left with 59 unnamed craters between 10km and 50km, and 2 unnamed craters larger than 50km.

The IAU rules for naming these are:
- Large craters (approximately 50 km and larger) : Scientists, especially those who have contributed significantly to the study of Mars; writers and others who have contributed to the lore of Mars.
- Small craters (approximately 50 km and smaller): Small towns and villages of the world with populations of approximately 100,000 or less. This category is simply a large source of crater names. No commemoration of specific towns or villages is intended.
==> For the smaller craters I have more than enough potential names, but I'm struggling to find names for the two larger ones, which should be named after scientist or writers that contributed to Mars knowledge and/or lore, and have been deceased for at least 3 years.
So does anyone have suggestions? :p
