The Marquess of Pherae

https://imgur.com/gallery/jdgeZqU

Well here he is. The red haired lord himself. I saved almost 2 thousand orbs for this day so it has been quite the journey.

I love the concept of his design here. How he's finally there at the end of his journey, it's almost bittersweet. To me there's a double meaning of him having Nini's ice lance. Since it's either a gift from his new bride or a memento of a loved one lost.

Anyways enjoy the build. He's your standard lance cavalry galeforce user.

Elibe Discussion Thread - Uther: Strong-Willed Marquess

Today, we are discussing Uther.

Uther is a NPC in The Blazing Blade, and is the brother of Hector, and uncle of Lilina.

Uther becomes the marquess of Ostia after his parents die from a sudden illness. Soon, he began to overtax his body, by handling the many affairs relating to Ostia, due to it being the main territory of the Lycian League, and by also trying to control Hector and prevent him from doing dangerous and reckless things. As such, he became more of a father to Hector, despite the many protests of the young lord. However, Uther later began to suffer from an illness similar to the one that had killed their parents. It is noted by Hector that Uther prefers to make quick decisions.

Despite him not being seen until Eliwood/Hector's Story, it is revealed in Lyn's Story by Hector if Matthew visits the house he is in, that Uther supports Lyn's claim to the throne, supporting the fact that she is indeed the daughter of Madelyn and granddaughter of Hausen. It is also noted that Uther knows that if the affair is left unchecked, and Lundgren manages to claim the throne, that Caelin will pose a threat to Ostia.

After Elbert goes missing, Uther dispatches Leila to infiltrate the Black Fang, despite stating that Ostia has no need to interfere with the issue. Despite this, Hector still sneaks out of the castle, and Uther probably knowing that this would occur, sends Oswin to protect his brother. When the three lords return to Ostia, Uther informs them to visit Athos.

Uther's health will soon take a negative toll, and Uther will soon develop a similar illness to the one that killed his parents. However, Uther knew that if Hector found out, he would have the dilemma of helping Eliwood or helping his brother. As such, he informed Oswin and all of the castle servants to secrecy. Unfortunately, Hector soon finds out, and pays his respects to his brother at Uther's empty throne and succeeded him as Marquess Ostia.

Uther has the following unused base stats:

[NP] TIL that the Marquess Curzon of Kedleston (infamous for the Partition of Bengal) took keen interest in the preservation of India's monuments.

The development of Museum Movement in India (MMI) is divided in 4 stage, out of which the third stage from 1898 to 1928 is far more important because, not only it led to the appointment of Sir John Marshall (yup, the guy who retired in 1928, leaving India 3000 years older than he had found her) but also to the restoration of India's monuments.

Prior to that, the first stage of MMI (1784-1857) witnessed new museum collections following by the second stage of MMI (1857-1898) when many Princely states, their rulers founded museums collections at their home states. This was the first time when the Indian rulers took keen interest in restoring their history and collection of the locality.

For example, the Government Bangalore Museum was established in 1865 under the Kingdom of Mysuru.

Also, the Archaeological Survey of India was founded during the second stage, which is why there was a rise in Archaeological Museum collections. Also, following the revolt of 1857, there was a setback in in the museum works.

Lord Curzon, appointed the young and a student-turned-professor of classical studies, John Marshall and fully supported the museum related activities in India. It was his dream to found a Memorial for the late Queen Victoria, which later became the iconic Victoria Memorial at Kolkata.

He was also fond of the Taj Mahal.

PS - Student here. Usually we look at people like 'once a bad guy = always a bad guy' and with the whole Gandhi and teenage girls doing rounds on reddit recently, just wanted to share this.

History is the story of a man and how he behaved that time. We can't label him nor we should ever tag him/ her 'either God or Satan'.
