In his video Pixel 6/6 Pro Unboxing & First Look! - YouTube he says this. I wonder if that's a bit of a warning about the phone?
Hi all, I discovered this channel that has all the videos from the MKBHD Skillshare course, but it has virtually no views or subscribers even though it has been up for 3 months. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKIxKzsVUXorzyxyCwitOqQ/videos
It seems strange that paid content would also be available on YouTube for free, but I don't want to flag it or anything if it is real, so I figured I would post here and someone else can figure out what is going on.
On January 17th, 2019, I emailed Marque Brownlee a batch of beats to use on his channel. He downloaded the beats without replying back to me.
March 15, 2019. He uses one of the beats I sent him called "Backtrack" without any credit or mention on video. At first, I thought he stole a beat, not thinking he actually opened the email containing the batch of beats. I uploaded a video on my YouTube channel calling out MKBHD, sent him a tweet, DM on Instagram, and sent another email.
He finally replied back to my email explain "somehow I forgot to add the track name to the description".
Marque went ahead and credit me (simplypops) and my friend (tommyleebeats) in the description.
I installed an email tracker (chrome extension) to see when and who opens my email.
Fast forward to April 2020. He went ahead and used another beat without credit or a mention on another video. I sent him another email but I noticed either Marque or his team opens the email about 5-7 times but yet again no response.
July 18, 2021. Marques is at it again with another beat from the same batch of beats I sent him back in January 2019. Yet again no credit or mention at all on the video. Of course, I sent an email, noticed he opened it multiple times but no reply.
I can't understand why Marques is doing this. It's unacceptable either from him or his team. As soon as you downloaded a beat why not reply back to me with something. Me (SimplyPops) and my friend TommyLee worked so hard on these beats at least show some credit. I appreciate him use the beats that show how good they are but man the way he's handing this is pretty poor. Some the smaller creators some love.
I would like to talk to Marques and hear his side of the story.

and I think his page in wikipedia deserves much better portrait of him and would love to get it updated
