A list of puns related to "Mark Kirkland"
I guess this is a pretty specific question, but I was wondering if the costco one was as good or better than the member's mark? Currently the member's mark one is 100 cups for $25 and costco has a crazy good deal for 120 cups, but I don't know if the quality is as good. Personally I find the MM donut shop coffee really good, like on par with the name brand. I don't want to buy a pack of kirkland since I'm not sure of the taste and obviously 120 pods is a lot.
We especially like the toilet paper and almond butter.
Hi Everyone - How do you feel about the generic formulas? Have a favorite? Iβm reading thereβs not a ton of difference due to regulation, but Parents Choice and Up&Up seem to get better reviews than the new Kirkland formula. I canβt find much on Memberβs Mark (Samβs Club).
We plan on combo feeding since nothing is guaranteed and then moving more fully to formula once the baby is old enough for daycare during Covid. Iβd like to start with some RTF bottles in the nights until we can figure this whole parent thing out a bit, and then transfer to generic powder.
Of course first priority is health for the baby, but I am for sure Penny pinching if possible.
We are a Costco family. No question. And I particularly like Kirkland brand items. Toilet paper. Paper towels. Baby wipes. Diapers. Detergent. Etc. I think itβs fantastic quality and good value.
Curious if Members Mark branded items are of similar quality. I donβt shop at Sams but I will say some of their prices are lower and they have free shipping. K sure willing to take the gamble.

Time to call it a night. Thank you all for your smart questions and kind compliments! This has been a lot of fun for both of us. Hope you get a kick out of Techtopia, and my personal website. Looking forward to doing this again. Cheers! Mark & Libby :D
For those of you that have tried Member's Mark and Kirkland tequila, what would you recommend? I love Patron margaritas but for a party, these can get somewhat pricey.
I know there's probably going to be a Costco bias for this question, but I have both subscriptions right now (Sams and Costco) and would like reddit's recommendation!
Any info here? Are the Members Mark items like dog food or generic meds or whatnot the same as Kirkland?
I mean.... there are only so many large factories and manufacturers, can they make both or do they have a non compete clause where they canβt make the others warehouses βbrandβ?
Thanks

Howdy guys, Mark, what's your favourite Coen brothers film and are there any film directors you admire for any reason you might share? | Raising Arizona, it's an oldie. No Country for Old Men- that was great. |
Live action directors: John Ford, George Stevens, Frank Capra, and Leo McCarey...Kurosawa, Jean Renoir, Hitchcock, Truffaut, Jean-Luc Godard, Stanley Kubrick. I love the classics and I know I'm naming a lot but these are all directors who influenced me.
More contemporary: Steven Spielberg, James L. Brooks, J. J. Abrams, Martin Scorsese and all my fellow Simpsons directors.
All of these directors made films that moved me (and millions of other people). Another important influence was my CalArts teacher Alexander "Sandy" Mackendrick.
Finally, a great influence, who I loved, is my dear friend and mentor the late great Haskell Wexler.
Raising Arizona, it kills me. Saw Blood Simple recently and thought it was excellent. Thanks for a great, in depth response, and greetings from sunny Melbourne. Cheers. | Cheers to you! Thanks for chiming in from Australia! :D. |
In the early episodes was Matt more involved with your directing? How do they assign episodes to a dir? | Matt still is involved with these shows; he cares very much about the series. I'm not privy to how they assign episodes. Sometimes I think it's rotation: which script is ready and which director is ready in a line up. I think there are particular times when specific episodes are assigned for example: Al Jean told Matt that he wanted me to direct the episode where the Simpsons went to England because he knew I had gone to England with the Simpsons writers, and cast members, and had taken a lot of photographs. |
How did your rejection from Disney originally affect you? | Good question rockguitarfan. It opened my eyes to other opportunities and I think that was a g |

Hi Apes!
A recent post about a GameStop job opening intrigued me. GameStop is looking to hire a Private Label designer. Why you might ask?
In my analysis I will hit on why private label is interesting and my revenue assumptions for private label, PowerUp members, and the NFT Marketplace. Please feel free to check out my previous two posts that go into more detail on each of the revenue channels.
TA:DR - GME's private label strategy could generate significant revenue. The NFT marketplace could generate $3b annually by 2025 and a tweak to the PowerUp subscription structure could generate an additional $500m+ by 2025. Lots of growth opportunities in front of GameStop!
Private Label strategy, revenue, and assumptions
Who here loves shopping private label? Huh? I love me some Kirklandβs and Trader Joeβs! Why do retailers have private label brands? Simple, better margins, which equals to more cash hitting the bottom line.

Private label (PL) brands have now outpaced branded products for the past 4 years in total dollar sales. This means the PL category has grown faster than the branded category every year for the past 4 years!
What is driving this?
Consumers are more educated now and understand that private label products are manufactured by the same companies that produce branded products i.e. comes from the same place.
Price. Typically, PL is cheaper than branded.
Consumers finally trust PL because the retailers are leaning into the education piece. This is done through better packaging design that communicates the product's attributes that resonate with the consumers.
Why are retailers leaning into PL?
Margins, margins, margins. Retailers buy their PL products directly from manufacturers rather than brands or distributors. This means more cash to the bottom line.
Price. Since retailers are getting a better margin, they can lower the price and undercut brands, driving more topline revenue for themselves.
Target loves private label. Why? Because they generat

Draft order from Tankathon.
JAX (1.01) - Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
The Jags go for the most talented edge in the class, with interest on Hutchinson cooling slightly after being largely shut down in the Orange Bowl against Georgia. Kayvon has an insane ceiling due to his physical tools, and Jacksonville will be salivating at Kayvon and Josh Allen coming off the edges and terrorising quarterbacks for years to come
DET (1.02) - Aiden Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
Hutchinson has had an incredibly dominant season in his senior year, and the Lions just go best player available, after deciding to give Jarrod Goff another year as starting quarterback. The senior has dominated most of the defences he's played this year, and will be a asset and cornerstonein the Lions defence.
HOU (1.03) - Evan Neal
Houston decide to give Davis Mills another year starting after showing some promise down the stretch, and shore up protection around him by drafting Neal, and absolute monster who can play anywhere on the line. Neal will be a day 1 starter who will shore up a weak Houston o-line.
NYJ (1.04) - Derek Stingley Jr, CB, LSU
The Jets find themselves in a tough spot. The lack of promising QB's means it's hard to find a suitor to trade down, which would be the ideal option at this spot. The Jets end up picking Stingley a lot earlier than they would have liked. Ikem Okwonu provides an intriguing option, but the Jets opt to continue with the promising George Fant and talented Mekhi Becton at the tackles. Stingley has all the physical tools, but has been inconsistent after a standout freshman year, and will likely improve his stock after a stand-out combine. The Jets hope he can be a worthy investment and become a star outside cornerback.
NYG (1.05) - Ikem Okwonu, OT, NC State
In Andrew Thomas, the Giants have a nice, long term piece in the trenches. That, however, is where the positives end for New York's offensive line. The whole rest of the line has major question marks, and none of them really have deserved their spot. The Giants take the dynamic Okwonu to play opposite Thomas at Tackle, providing a solid pair to protect Jones for likely his last shot at taking the starting job.
CAR (1.06) - Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
Carolina also opt to improve their dreadful offensive line, with the strong tackle out of Mississippi State. With one of the

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
After reading everyone's comments, I'm not certain anything major had to be changed, so I went ahead and added another round. Updated standings after yesterday's KC win.

Do your worst!
I've assembled a packing list for an upcoming trip I'm taking and I'd love to be roasted on my naivete. If I'm missing things, overpacking, etc please let me know! This list consists mostly of things that I already own, but there are a few things I'm planning on buying for this trip and I've marked them with an asterisk.
In March I'm flying to London and then to Portugal a few days later. Staying in/around Portugal for March into April, then heading to Paris to meet a friend. From there we're going to Athens until May, and then my destination is up in the air!
This will be my first time traveling solo overseas after many years of shorter solo trips in the United States. I am planning to be in hostels, Airbnb, or WorkAway (not gonna tell border people this obviously) for the entirety of the trip. I've done two-week backpacking trips in the US, done week-long or weekend-long trips via air, but never overseas. I'm assuming the game is the same but still, would love feedback!
I'll always be wearing things off of this list, nothing extra is included.

Went to Costco today looking to try one of the Kirkland brand scotches. They seemed at least interesting. This store only had the 12 year blend, not what i was hoping for, anyhow a random guy came down my isle, clearly looking for something and appeared to be in a hurry. I let him know there were more bourbons the next isle over. He mumbled something about a George T and i lost interest. He starts talking to another guy about a deal, they get a store employee involved and they each get passed a bottle. I go up and ask whats going on and they unload a story on me. ββPeopleβ find out about a shipment going out to a region for wholesale pricing, somebody follows the liquor truck to the destination and you go in and ask for the deal.β I thought it seemed odd if i am being generous, but this guy had a bottle of something i didnt see in the isle. I asked him if i could get one, he says ya there are 2 left, points at the employee, employee walks to another guy in the liquor area and gets it from him. I asked how much, he says $50 bucks. Okayβ¦the original guy says this bottle goes for $250. George Stagg Jr barrel strength. A quick google search and sure enough it pops up for ~$300 - $350. The employee tells me they are limit one per customer.
Is this really that same bottle i saw online for so much? I checked out and it ended up being $39.99. If it is real, why so cheap, where is this underground whiskey chatter coming from?!
FURTHERMORE, the barrel strength bottles appear to have have a unique proof each batch which you can find easily on the Buffalo Trace website. No signature, no barrel number, no batch statement. The only identifying mark indicating anything unique is the proof. The bottle i was handed has a proof that matched a Batch bottled in 2014, 128.7. Does that really mean this was bottled 8 years ago? Why did i get an old bottle? Has anyone ever heard of this kind of crazy discount, it cant be just βwholesale priceβ that would mean whiskey markup is nearly 10 fold.
A play on words.
