A list of puns related to "Mario J. Mcnulty"
During my first viewing McNulty is the obvious protagonist, but after continuous views McNulty annoys the hell out of me and my true protagonist shifted to Lester. He always found a way to chase the drugs/money while still following the direct orders. Natural Police. Who did you end up following as your protagonist in the show?
For real, I think working as a cop on the marine unit would be my ideal job. Catching crabs, getting out on the water, hauling the occasional party boat out of the shipping channel... if I had the good fortune to get transfered to that unit, I would never want to leave.
Plus, McNulty's partner on the boat had that giant, brand-new grill out by the water so if you ever get tired of sailing, just head back to harbour, tie a Baltimore knot, grill a few steaks and drink a few Heineken.
What a life.
Disclaimer - I understand why riding the boat was torture for McNulty - he was natural police and thought he was smarter than everyone in the department. Every second he was out on the water, he felt like a little piece of his soul was dying. That's not my point - I get why the boat isn't perfect for Mrs McNulty's baby boy - but it would be perfect for me.
Six whiskeys deep putting together an office chair and I approve this method.

Kills me every single time.
The whole scene is hilarious. And Method Man is flat out awesome in every single scene he is in
In my opinion, his is the best local segment on WWNO.
I've followed David Simon on Twitter (not for the faint-hearted!) for a couple of years now... I've come to the conclusion that his personality boils down to a McNulty-Rawls hybrid... he is generally a stubborn anti-authoritarian who fundamentally rails against the system (McNulty) but then also has a brutally acerbic side to him that seeks to crush anyone who he takes a disliking to. It's quite entertaining... he certainly doesn't pull any punches.
So thereβs speculation they hooked up. My interpretation of the scene for me is McNulty is just a slut so he makes a semi pass at Kima while drinking & in a hotel room. Kima knows this so gives him a funny look but sheβs not surprised. I resonate with McNultyβs character cause he just canβt help himself lol. He isnβt seriously trying to sleep with her but that night he would of def done it. This show is so great. That interaction was so subtle & real. Itβs incredible cause you could miss it & itβs never brought up.
I am sure there is rational explanation, as McNulty is murder police, but how the hell narcotics haven't got a clue about biggest player in Baltimore?
Can someone give me a refresher?
Was there a time in season 1 when we see Bunk give McNulty that special fuck they reminisce over many drinks (same episode where the arrest Bird)? Did Bunk rat McNulty out to Landsman that he was giving a fuck when it wasnt his turn to give a fuck?
I can't quite remember. Maybe they were talking about a time before the show, and it's better as character development molded in the mind of the audiences.
I never thought Iβd get a Wire reference from watching Buffalo University play Northern Illinois on Wednesday night. Iβm hoping someone else caught this too.
A few minutes ago, Alex McNulty, the kicker for the Buffalo University, kicked a 55 yard field goal. In response, ESPN commentator Cole Cubelic said McNulty was βwalking out there with the swag of Omar.β
Although it's my favourite show and IMO the best show ever made, if I were to pick one weak point, it would be McNulty's story throughout the last season. It felt quite silly at points. I'm curious to know how unrealistic that whole thread was. Is it inspired by real events, or are there cases on record of this kind of thing actually happening in the real world? I feel like if I knew this is actually a realistic storyline then I wouldn't see it as a blemish any more.
Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm new here!
Although we know that with time he will pay for his actions, along with Lester, it is still fitting that McNulty had his wake at the bar, fitting with Irish tunes and Jameson.
When Jay gives his speech, it's like every time that we have had to witness McNulty stir shit up at the BPD and having to hear about what a douche McNulty can be is finally concluded with the acknowledgement that he is natural police. He may be the black sheep, but he got those damn clearances. I guess it was satisfying to not see McNulty be berated for once.
McNulty might not be the ideal boyfriend/husband. He is an ass whole most of the time. But if he was ever going to settle down it needed to be with someone like Beadie Russel.
He needed someone that'll give him a little room but not too much, and tell him when his shit stinks but not be stuck up about it.
Rhonda Pearlman, Lawyer/Judge - For all intents and purposes seems like a great woman who would make a good wife. But she is too much of a sweetheart and gave McNulty too much leeway. She didn't know when to put her foot down and be more firm. She finally did, but she let too much happen before that. She also wants to be involved in something that matters and is career driven. She wants to be thought of when decisions are being made. She was upset when McNulty told her that him and Elena might be getting back together, but she let that door stay open too long. She let him carry the situation like they were sex buddies and didn't put her foot down and demand he treat her better. When she seen that he wrote down that he had sex with those prostitutes she should've flipped her shit in front of the whole squad.
Elena (McNulty), Real Estate Agent- She seem like she is a strong willed woman who can honestly do for herself but wants a easy going life. She doesn't seem to want to have to work too hard, but doesn't want a flashy high class lifestyle. She doesn't seem like the type to give someone enough room to be themselves (at least in her presence). She would tell you your shit stink over the slightest inconvenience to her mind..lol She most likely always chewed out McNulty for drinking and working off hours. She doesn't come off as the compromising type. IMO she would make a decision without considering her SO but will be furious if her SO did the same. The marriage wasn't going to work unless her SO submitted to being the #2 in the relationship.
Theresa D'Agostino, Political Consultant/Campaign Fixer - This relationship was never going to work unless McNulty either focused on moving up in his career or brought home some serious money. She seem like the type to have a marriage where both people cheated all the time but stayed married for the looks and status. She seem very outgoing and free spirited, but didn't give a damn what you did unless it made her look bad. She needed someone with power. She would probably only chew McNulty out for wearing a bad suit or not having his hair right.
Beadie Russell, Port Authority Officer - She seemed to be the most av
