A list of puns related to "Maples Pavilion"
Hi! Is security very strict on this clear bag policy at a Cardinal basketball game at Maple Pavilion? I have never been there so I am wondering if I could bring a drawstring bag or something like that? If not can I leave my stuff somewhere at the pavilion? Any insight is welcome! Thanks!

So, on Jan, 1 2020 for some reason, still unknown to even myself to this day, I decided that I was going to keep a record in my phones notepad of what show I listened to.
For most of the year, I listened to random shows, and only listed a date. As the year went on though, I started listing the show, where it was, the source, and any notes. For example it would look like:
1/28/87 - San Francisco, CA - Deadspread App*- Not a bad song list, but the band plays terrible all night.
*Deadspread is this awesome app I found in the Google play store for Android. It's basically the archive, but you pick a year, then all the shows for that year in order are listed. You pick the date, then all the sources are there. You choose your source and listen to it right in the app. It's awesome. Very very very user friendly for us older Heads. I'm not sure if it's available for Apple, but I can't imagine it isn't.
Anyhow, I did this for a while, then again, for reasons unknown to me, I decided to listen to Europe 72 in it's entirety, from show first to last show. So I did just that, and it was awesome. I also found that listening to whole run of shows was awesome to because you got more intimate with the band. Even listening to them perform these shows 49 years later. Just listening night after night, you could feel the energy of when the band was feeling great, of if they were tired. Even if they were tired, they still put their all into. I don't know how else to explain it. But, it was a whole new listening experience for me. The rest of 2020, I went back to just listening to random shows.
In 2021, I started out listening to 4 random shows. Copied right from my notepad, they are as follows:
03/12/66 - Pico Acid Test - Youtube 11/1/79 - Nassau Coliseum - Archive - C. Miller soundboard - Amazing Scarlet/Fire 2/24/74- Winterland Arena - Archive 2/09/73 - Roscoe Maple's Pavilion, Stanford University - Archive
Then, I decided after listening to 2/9/73, that I wanted to listen to the 1973 tour, from start to finish. So I did. Again, It was an amazing experience. Another thing that was cool as shit for me, was listening to when they would introduce a song, and you got to follow along as the song processed. A prime example of this would for me, be U.S. Blues, known on a lot of the 73 shows as "Wave that Flag".
After listening to the 1973 tour from start to finish, I figured my next logical step would be to listen to 1974 from start to finish. It took me from January to
... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
Heard they've been doing some shady business.
They were cooked in Greece.
but then I remembered it was ground this morning.
Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
