So i'm currently remodding my regulator prime(Mesa's exalted weapon), and saw that you can put magnum force into it(+dmg, -accuracy). What happen if i use it? Will half of your shot miss, or it just steaigth up damage boost?

I made this video essay after noticing something interesting in watching Magnum Force, the sequel to 1971βs infamously gruesome Dirty Harry. One of the consistent themes that some people have pointed out here on Reddit and elsewhere is how Clint Eastwoodβs films have become more and more introspective with time. From Unforgivenβs revisionist take on the Western genre to Mystic Riverβs anti-βstreet vengeanceβ message, the director has never shied away from reckoning with the harmful effects of his works head on. Perhaps the earliest example of this in the filmmakerβs filmography can curiously be found in Magnum Force.
The follow-up to the notorious Don Siegel classic is noticeably different in its politics from its predecessor. Where Dirty Harry was confidently machismo and frankly fascist in itβs politics (Harry gripes a few too many times about important laws that protect individuals before they have been found guilty of crimes), Magnum Force turns the tables on Harry and shows him the reality of how far taking justice into oneβs own hands outside of the system can go.
Without getting too much into spoilers, the motives of the villains in the sequel are rooted in a deep mistrust of the existing legal system which lets too many criminals off the hook without meaningful (or is some cases any) punishment. Because of this they take matters into their own hands and act as judge, jury, and executioner to fill in this gap in justice and clean up the streets of San Francisco.
If it sounds familiar itβs because itβs only about a degree more radical than Harryβs own philosophy in the first film, the only meaningful difference being that Harry doesnβt actually kill anyone unless fired upon/threatened.
Magnum Force almost feels like Eastwoodβs direct confrontation with the archetype heβs played throughout his entire career -- the vigilante who dishes out punishment where the traditional methods of the law have failed to do so. Heβs played this character time and time and time again, so much so that itβs practically what he represents from a political perspective.
But the film deconstructs the idea of that Eastwood-ian archetype and places an asterix next to its philosophy. It says that yes it may be easier, efficient, and perhaps even more just to take actions regarding the law into oneβs own hands... but doing so is can lead to incredibly dangerous slippery slope and perhaps i

Appearance: Magnum Force manifests as a humanoid stand made out of blueish-coloured wind, with sharp fangs on its mouth and a necklace with shark teeth on it. The stand possesses one singular, yellow eye in the centre of its face.
Ability: Magnum Force's ability is to create and alter the direction of wind movement in a 45Β° cone in front of the user, which would normally be useless but it fits into the user's ability of using sniper rifles which, as everyone knows, fire bullets.
Stand master: The Sniper, or Mr. Mundy, a character from the game Team Fortress 2. As his name implies, the Sniper uses a sniper rifle to take out enemies from a long distance. Magnum Force's ability was born out of the Sniper's own skill at being a sniper.
Stats:
Power: Null (can't physically deal damage itself)
Speed: B (can very quickly form and deform the air control cone)
Range: D/A (physically has to be close to the user, range of cone is a maximum of 250 metres)
Durability: D (made out of wind)
Precision: A (very precise wind manipulation)
Potential: C
Namesake: Magnum Force, Sniper theme from the TF2 soundtrack.
My next contest idea if I win: Bird stands.

#Glencore Subsidiary Conglomeration - Supreme General Cao
>Greetings Mr. Mengde, some may even say Supreme.
>>Glencore's subsidiaries and partners, Dynamo Air and Sentenza Collections have watched with keen eyes as the conflict in China has unfolded. Much to our disappointment, Southern China's economic capabilities have sat unutilized, un-maximized.
>>Furthermore, trust with China in the world economy continues to fall as concerns over the growing blockade and domestic chaos continues to rise. Therefore, on behalf of Glencore, a representative now appears before you.
>>Our offer is simple, your soldiers while brave are clearly not up to the tasks required, leadership crippled thanks to a loss of many Beijing loyal officers, finds itself in an odd scenario where despite large amounts of manpower, you lack precision strike units and competent officers.
>>Therefore, Glencore would like to simply take over a portion of the Chinese Rare Earth Metals industry. Southern China is famed for its rare earth metals which bring in hundreds of billions of profit yearly. The offer is a simple one, allow Glencore to be the sole foreign company operating in Southern China (and in future, China at-large) for Rare Earth Metals, working closely with the State companies, to gain profit. In exchange, we would have no choice but to deploy highly professional veteran soldiers turned contractors, to protect our interests.
>>We can offer aircraft (although we think this may be to brash), but are willing to offer immediately a contingent of 4,000 personnel with room to grow that up to 7,000. Naturally we ask for only access to China's lucrative rare earth metals for our own profit (paying the same tax that any Chinese state would pay, we aren't total thieves here) and perhaps for positive feelings as part of a long term relationship.
>>hit us back. Magnum Force out.
Magnum force: r10 Gold mod - 14 Drain - 66%Dmg - Has a negative stat.
Augur Pact: r5 Bronze mod - 7 Drain - 90%Dmg - Has no negative(rather a positive set bonus)

Please get 'Magnum Force' with the same level as Serration and Heavycalibur are at right now for primary, but wrt to Hornet Strike as they are Pistol mods.
Perhaps to compensate the buff, you can increase the Drain from 14 to 16 and -33% accuracy to -55% accuracy.
But it really doesn't make sense leaving it at 66%dmg when 'Augur Pact', another pistol dmg mod gives 90%dmg at way less endo cost/mod drain cost and has no negative stat to it.ο»Ώο»Ώο»Ώ
EDIT: Developer response, they are looking into it!
