I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Hi all,
After using the stock dynamo light for a while and having a few problems with it, I've decided to upgrade to a B&M CyoT Premium Senso Plus light, as suggested by Everyday Cycling in this video. However, I'm struggling to install it. The bracket from the stock light leaves the light too high, and it slams into the carrier block unless pointing down. The new bracket is too thick to be supported by the pre-existing "bracket shim" (I am referring to the squarish part in this image). If I attach the new bracket without the shim, it's waaay too high and slams into the carrier block again.
What am I doing wrong? I always seem to have the problem that my carrier block being too low. Is it? Can that even happen?
I'd appreciate any help :)
EDIT: Thank you for your replies. The new bracket not fitting threw me off so much I forgot to think. I simply took the old bracket and bent it a bit to provide the new light with more overhead. It works perfectly now!

Or would that be too forward thinking?
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

At its present price of $83,900, Berkshire Hathaway is trading at one of the widest discounts to intrinsic value in recent years. The risk/reward equation with Berkshire is compelling.
What is Berkshireβs Intrinsic Value?
There are many different approaches one can take to arrive at Berkshireβs ballpark intrinsic value. Here is the approach I favor:
A. Operating Businesses:
A1. Mid-American Energyβs earnings and interest paid to Berkshire was $237 Million in 2004. There was a one-time writeoff in 2004 of $579 Million for an ill-fated Zinc recovery project. Excluding this, net after-tax earnings to Berkshire from MAE in 2004 would have been $530 Million (approx.). Assume this grows modestly to $600 Million in 2-3 years. Its likely to do a lot better β given all of Buffettβs comments on this business.
A2. Berkshireβs historical cost of insurance float has, on average, been negative. In 2004 float was $46 Billion with an underwriting profit of $1.5 Billion or 3.2%. Float has grown considerably since 2000 when it was $28 Billion. Note that the 2000 float number includes Gen Re. So Berkshire has grown float by 65% in 4 years organically or about 13% annually. Let us assume that float grows moderately in the future and average underwriting profit (now that all units are fixed and firing on all cylinders) is about $1 Billion or under 2% in a few years.
A3. The βFinance and Finance Productsβ category generated $2.3 Billion in pretax earnings in 2004 and $1.8 Billion in 2003. A large part of this is Buffettβs opportunistic trading operation β which may not be recurring. One could argue that Buffett consistently makes money with onetime bets β silver, junk bonds in 2002, Finovaβs liquidation through Berkadia, AAA bond trades, Level 3 converts, currencies etc. So, letβs say Buffett generates, on average, $1 Billion per year through the potpourri of opportunistic trading that heβs so exceptionally good at. The rest of it (including Clayton Homes) should generate atleast $400 Million pretax. So $1.4 Million pre-tax β or about $1 Billion after-taxes.
A4. Manufacturing, Service & Retail Operations generated $2.5 Billion pre-tax and $1.5 Million after tax in 2004. Some of these businesses (like NetJets) are investing heavily in Europe for future growth. So, even modest organic growth should put earnings in this group around $2 Billion after-tax in 2-3 years.
In 2006-2007, these operating businesses (A1-A4) in total are lik
