Mackenzie Name Puns

So i was just curious while looking on the internet, and i wanted to know the history of Great Bear, and i found this. "Water flows out of the lake into the Great Bear River, then into the Mackenzie River." I think that this is why his character has the name Mackenzie. Maybe its just wild speculation but i just wanna know if anyone knows the answer or if anyone has some more input! Also in case you were wondering about my source. it's not a huge deal to me and I won't even say anything unless it happens again but jesus. I try so fucking hard to pass, I'm on T, I've had top surgery, I have facial hair, wear only men's clothing and all of that gets ignored. so many people have never had it occur to them that trans men exist and can't wrap their heads around it until you clearly spell it out for them. it's so frustrating

And also what's with all those cis men who are shorter than 5'5", wear long hair and can't do pipeworks, and with cis women who are taller than 6', wear short hair, and don't shave their legs.

They really make cis people look like lazy inconsistent wackos in front of our trans allies who put so much hard work to look like their gender.

i'm cis (afab) but i've been thinking more about experimenting with gender. i don't really know a label yet, but i would like to try out using she/they pronouns!! i prefer when people use the same pronoun in the same sentence/few sentences in a row, instead of changing it every other time. sorry if that's picky lol jkdhfjdk i would like some comments using my name and pronouns please (:

I’m 35 and based in the US. I never knew a single Mackenzie growing up and I haven’t heard of any friends / mom groups use it recently. There was a big spike of them in the late 90s / early 2000s. It’s now at the top of our baby list and we love the nn Mack.

I’d love this group’s general thoughts on the name and see if there are any concerns about the timing. I guess I worry I’m giving her a name that will ultimately be strongly associate with one generation. Is this the equivalent to naming a daughter Tiffany in 2010 when it was such a known 90s name?
