TAM VCLC (Tanque Argentino Mediano Cohete de Artilleria Ligero)- a Multiple Launch Rocket System

Where in war thunder?

I think it may fit as a GE premium or squadron vehicle due to the position of many other similar systems in war thunder however if it was given to Israel it would be better to have it as a normal tech tree vehicle to add more vehicles to the tree

It may go well in the Germany tech tree as it currently has 3 TAM versions (TAM, 2C, 2IP) (this could also be a reason why not to get it), it also contains some German made equipment however a better choice would be the Israeli tree (detailed why below)

The TAM VCLC would fit well in the Israeli ground forces tree as it uses the Israeli LAR-160 modular rocket launcher system and would add to a potentially small ground tech tree for Israel giving players another vehicle to play in the tree (which is why i am leaning to the argument of Israel getting this vehicle)

Gameplay wise it would have a vary similar use as the Type 75 MLRS due to its very similar format as such i suggest a br between 7.0 and 7.7 due to the little use many will find, but as it could be good in the right hands

The VCLC-CAL (Cohete de Artilleria Ligero) is fitted with the Israeli LAR-160 modular rocket launcher system. It underwent trials in 1986. The 160 mm CAL used two 18 rocket containers.

These containers are factory-fitted with rockets and sealed. They can be stored for up to 15 years without any maintenance.

After launching all rockets, containers are removed by crane and replaced with new ones. HE-FRAG and cluster warheads are available.

The VCLC is fitted with 7.62 mm machine gun for self-protection and limited air defence.

The whole process of replacing containers for the VCLC-CAL takes 10 minutes. Battery of these multiple launch rocket systems also had truck fitted with a rang

MLRS - Multiple Launch Rocket System.

Can we just discuss the impact this monument with 10 minute cooldown will have on the game? I get it will be hard to get the required stuff, if you play low populated servers which are boring it will be easier. Big servers have clans controlling launch, oilrig and always taking heli which leaves millitary tunnels and waterlabs to the solos. To me it just feels a little bit of an extra punishment for the solo because now we cant 2 x 2 anymore, we need to have samsites and walls to protect the sam sites. What are your opinions?

Looking for academic examples of Multiple Rocket Launch systems compared to traditional howitzers.

Pretty much the title. A friend and I got into the discussion of the feasibility of MRLS to replace traditional artillery. One of the few papers I could find on the topic is this one out of the Naval Postgraduate School. The paper found that the MRLS system are far more effective then traditional howitzers at both defensive and offensive roles while being close in cost, but this paper is almost 30 years old. Does anyone have any more recent examples they could bring up?
