So my wife and I are a same sex couple. She has a bio 8 y/o child that we raise together. Her pregnancy was fairly easy and she had no complications other than the epidural not working while giving birth. She never had any symptoms or any other issues during pregnancy.

I however am 5 months pregnant and I have had anything but an easy pregnancy. I had terrible morning sickness, was extremely sick for 3 months.

I am very petite and my doc has said I will need a c section. I am a bit worried about that as I am the main bread winner and only planning on taking 2 weeks off as I work “from home” but go into the office a few times a week for meetings/advertising things etc. so though ten majority of my job is work from home basis I still have to drive to work and show up at least 3x a week where I am having to do some minor physical things like photography of our inventory etc. (basically a lot of climbing up to get photos and lots of moving around etc) I have read a lot about c sections and have learned most people are not encouraged to drive for 6 weeks due to the strain on the muscles used for braking and the seatbelt on the stitches/c section area. I am also the only one who drives. I am trying to convince my wife to get her license to help with driving so I do not have to worry about that.

My wife does not work a full time job and will be the one to watch the baby during the day. She thinks I’m being dramatic because I want to save and be prepared in case I need to take longer than 2 weeks to recover. She told me I am going to try to “milk the recovery process” if I take any longer than 2 weeks. She insists I do not take off any longer from work as it will not be paid and she thinks I will be “fine after and be able to go to work”.

She has been so very unsympathetic during this whole pregnancy and has made me feel so guilty for even bringing up any ailments I have. If I even mention I am tired or do not feel well she tells me I am being dramatic. She thinks because she had an easy pregnancy I should too. But the reality is we are two very different people.

Any advice on what to do? How do I get her to understand I am struggling and may not be 100% immediately following giving birth. I just feel so alone.

Currently playing Xenoblade 2 and got a scythe using blade. This made me wonder if there were any games with scythe users. I can’t thing of any, but maybe you guys can?
