A list of puns related to "Littleton Upon Severn"
"Good morning! Today, I'd like to talk to you about what I want to achieve if I have the honour to be Upper Severn's MP in the House of Commons. One of the reasons I am proud to be a member of Coalition! is that, because of the talent and experience of our main members, and the fact that we aren't beholden to any of the major parties, is that we can formulate some really good policy with a focus on our local communities.
One of the things that I appreciate in our manifesto is a commitment to making villages and towns across the country more walkable. This helps people, young and old, across England, keep up daily exercise, and also reduces the usage of cars when they're unnecessary. Now, I certainly love cars. They're great for long journeys, but if you're just going across town - let's be honest, you can walk and save yourselves the car.
The thing about pedestrianising small towns is that it doesn't just block off cars - and while we're at it, it doesn't block off cars. Cars will still have space to park, just not right in front of the shops. But it doesn't just prevent cars from pulling right up, but it also creates more space for pedestrians. There's more space to walk with friends, more places for trees, more places for benches. Pedestrianising small towns can really liven up the space, and our community by extension.
And speaking of our community, there is another issue I'd like to talk about today before closing out. For many in our younger generation, the great British dream of home ownership has become more of a nightmare, with more and more young adults living with their parents or in exorbitant rents. A good chunk of this issue lies with restrictive local laws, which require local governments to buy land at theoretical prices, which causes government to have to spend billions of more dollars unnecessarily to buy land over market value.
Coalition! has a policy to address this, which I am very proud of, and it is the common sense solution. Instead of forcing government to play at an archaic and uneven field when buying land, we will allow local authorities to buy land at competitive prices, which will free up billions of dollars in spending that can be put back into our housing industry. This election, it's time to reject the major parties, and bring a sensible alternative into government. Give your vote to Coalition!, and give me your vote here in Upper Severn. Thank you!"
Performing with a band of Libertarian activists recreate the journey of Kent in Lear paralleling Chevaliers exile from the Tory party
With the conclusion of the mini play Chevalier gives a short address still in costume to the crowd;
Good people pray your silence a moment please, I return to you like Kent in different clothes he indicates the purple rosette to serve the true conscience of Severn.
Oh curse that wayward Conservative party, those who God has given one face, and then they make themselves another. To claim to be fiscally responsible but when the siren sings they dance to a different tune and they are as happy to spend Β£60 billion on Childcare.
They wail now to scare you so that you may forget how they abandoned you and their principles. So fix yourself to remembering how this party has acted and hold it true.
For me mine honour is my life, both grow in one, take honour from me, and my life is done. I would not abandon the people of Severn anymore than I could abandon my soul.
Even as the winds blow this way or that I shall hold firm in my belief in free markets where government helps them work and doesn't throw money at failure.
I will always speak my mind for as Kent says;
> Thinkβst thou that duty shall have dread to speak when power to flattery bows?
> To plainness honorβs bound when majesty falls to folly
Our ship of state sails well on the winds of good and true council, members who will tell you want you want to hear and do not speak what they know to be true risking our nation crashing on the rocks.
I urge you people of Stafford to elect me to represent you to stay true to Severn values and fight for Severn jobs.
Tis a late winterβs afternoon when BNG, accompanied by the Labour volunteers who had forcefully hauled him to England after a considerable amount of beating and blackmail, arrived at the pleasant, picturesque town of Stratford-Upon-Avon. Birthplace of Englandβs most distinguished thespian. And to make matters more ironic, BNG was dressed in a poor manβs adaptation of the outfit worn by Macbeth shortly before the whole, killing close friends and his family malarkey.
He takes his place upon a podium that had been established neatly in the town square earlier and began to address the moderately well-populated crowd.
Ladies and Gentlemenβ¦ welcome to BNG General Election 2: Severn Boogaloo. Iβve brought my campaign to the birthplace of bearable English literature today not just for the stunning imagery but to speak to the fine people in this historic centre about the benefits of not just a strong Labour government but also to discuss all of our concerns about Conservative and LPUK policies not just regarding the economy but also socially and politically.
Take their budget for example. Not only was it plagued by constant inaccuracy and rumoured infighting but it took the axe to many of our beloved institutions and whilst it was a Libertarian dream. Itβs a British nightmare. Itβs attitude to social housing and the funding designated to it is almost inhumane and hardly fitting of a compassionate government.
However whilst the Conservative-Libertarian government cut services in the name of their well-sought after surplus, Labour will fight hard to bring new ideas and opportunities to all. Take our proposed National Education System as well as a sensible but gradual overhaul of the education system so that we may provide the best we can offer to our next generations.
So this election, make the right decision and place your trust in the Labour party to bring us into tomorrow without the relentless narcissism that has plagued our political sphere up to recent memory. Thank you and remember, only together can we face the future.
BNG leaves to shake hands with local reporters and local people before moving on to his next campaign stop
As a Michigan resident I've loved all the locations and geographic name drops in this show. Not only is it fun to see some place you recognize or have heard of, it's wonderfully immersive world building.
However, one location has bothered me, arguably the main location of the season; Severn City. It doesn't exist. I get why they chose to fictionalize the name for this local, but right from the get go I theorized what city it could be/where it was supposed to be geographically.
My initial idea was Grand Rapids as it's the largest metropolitan city on the West side of the state and has a pretty sizable airport. But then in the season finale we got a map. And not only is Grand Rapids on it, Severn City is right about where my home town of Kalamazoo is!
This was a really fun realization personally as I have a great fondness for the town. I don't know if it was the author's/show writer's intention to use Kalamazoo's location as Severn City but a weird coincidence is that Kalamazoo College has a residence hall called Severn Hall!
I realize this probably isn't very interesting to many people but I got so excited during tonight's episode and didn't know who else to share this with!
From the map that Miranda was looking at, itβs obvious that Severn City is actually Kalamazoo, MI.
Iβll personally see that we build a βMuseum of Civilizationβ
Was it cloudy or sunny and was it a cold or a warm morning?
Does anyone know if there are new littleton coin codes for 2022? Thanks!
