Little London, Leeds Puns

Hi,

I work near the LGI and is looking for a place within walking distance to rent with around 700 budget.

I came accross an apartment - Cartlon Garth, Carlton hill, Little London in rightmove.

I was looking through reviews here and saw a high crime and drug gang risk in the area.... But those comments were very old...

Can someone tell me the current situation in those areas?

Please help me out.... I don't know anyone who has been in leeds enough to know about the places....

Hi all,

I've obtained a TC to start in September 2022 at a London firm and I need to complete the LPC, which I have chosen to do at BPP, starting this January.

I was just wondering whether there is any difference in studying at BPP Holborn, in comparison to BPP Leeds/Manchester?

My firm isn't funding my LPC and so the prospect of saving money by studying up North is particularly attractive to me!

Seriously, I thought most people realised that the Leeds in London thing was a meaningless stat, but I just read a pre match thread about captaining Dallas and some of the comments seemed to be people genuinely worried about Leeds not winning in London.

Stats like this are meaningless, they are true until they aren't, and then they will never be mentioned again.

EDIT: And if you think most people are being ironic/just having fun with these stats, look how many people are trying to argue my point by saying "there is something in this one".

Hi! I'm an American university student wanting to study abroad in the spring for a semester in the UK. I am pretty much between either University of Leeds or University of Edinburgh. First though, I want to ask if anyone thinks I should take advantage of doing a program in London instead of either. London is London. I like big cities, people, things to do and places to eat, film, and fashion. However, the programs available in London are basically just private little schools and not actual universities.

I have a preference for studying at an actual school so that I can be around real UK students, a diverse range of people, and participate in societies/have a school setting to learn and live in.

If you don't think London being London would make it more worthwhile overall, then what I'm asking for is any comparison between Leeds and Edinburgh. It can be biased, I'll take anything that comes to your mind, pros and cons about the schools or the cities, whatever.

And you know what, if another university comes to mind that isn't even listed here, feel free to let me know.
