A list of puns related to "Linus Van Pelt"
He has been faithfully waiting for you in the pumpkin patch every year for the past 60 years now. Surely you should show up in his pumpkin patch this year?
SCENARIO: The United States decides that, besides a normal POTUS, a child president should be elected as well to be a symbol for the youth of America. They would encourage the youth to do well in school, dont do drugs etc. (Insert reason here). The friends of both Linus and Encyclopedia convince them to run, and they both make they end up being the last two candidates come November.
Linus originated from the Comic strip "Peanuts" alongside Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the gang. Linus is the wiser, more intellectual side of the Peanuts gang, often quoting the Bible or seen trying to give wise advice. Despite his normally quiet nature, he is known to stand up for those in need, even confronting the bully of a cancer patient (see "Why Charlie Brown, why?". (https://www.gocomics.com/peanuts/1962/12/07) (https://www.gocomics.com/peanuts/1964/10/08) He won the election for student body President of his elementary school, although he almost threw it by trying to get the students to believe in the Great Pumpkin.
Leroy "Encyclopedia" Brown is the star of a series of Detective stories meant for children. He seems to posses a "photographic memory", remembering pretty much everything he's read in books. He uses this knowledge to help the children in his town, and even actual police cases. He's intelligent to the point that his father, the Chief of Police in the town on Idaville, comes to him with cases he and his detectives can't solve, and Encyclopedia solves them by the end of dinner. At age ten. (https://www.toplessrobot.com/2009/07/the_10_most_ridiculously_difficult_encyclopedia_br.php)
Situations for discussion:
S1: The two debate on the solutions to problems children are facing today, including schools, going against bullying, etc.
S2: Who would win the election overall?
S3: If you think another candidate would do a better job than either of them, feel free to say who.and why in the comments.
I believe thatβs who the characters are. I remember Lucy was mad at Linus for some reason and she had guys with a stereotypical black men in black type suit and she ordered them to kill Linus and they took out like a chainsaw and cut off his head.
R1: Fight to incap or surrender, in an average American house.
R2: Comeback contest.
R3: Philosophical debate.
...at quoting boring stuff old wise men said.
Round 1: Without prep, who can talk longer?
Round 2: Without prep, they have to bore other people to sleep (each gets his own set of people).
Round 3: Round 2, but Zaheer has a large collection of Airbender writings and Linus has the Bible.
Adorkable, suppurating with the purest innocence and benevolence. This is too easy, if not obligatory of a decision. As my flair has testified for all this time, Linus is my favourite, demonstrates so many virtues to strive for. As before with a week of Sally, feel to free to post along with me with relevant material. I hope you enjoy it!
First time watching the series and I'm currently in the middle of season 4. Does anyone else think that Grace is an absolutely terrible agent?? She's a bad getaway/speed driver (2 accidents!), has poor self defense and hand-to-hand combat skills, isn't really that smart, very naive, and is a mediocre detective at best. She really contributes nothing to the team. Like, I get that they wanted to make her seem green in the beginning but she seriously hasn't gotten any better. I wish they would replace her with someone more interesting and good at their job. Am I the only one who thinks this??
In a theological debate.
