11/28/2021 Lindsey Buckingham performed in tonight's Saturday Night Live playing acoustic guitar to accompany the singer Halsey. Someone will probably upload it to Youtube later.
Until embarrassingly recently, I had no idea that Lindsey Buckingham was a real person. I thought he was just a character that Bill Hader did for What's Up with That. I also somehow never saw the What's Up with That when the actual Lindsey Buckingham appears. Thought I had seen them all, but apparently not that one.
(The real Lindsey Buckingham will be performing in the Boston area this September if anybody is interested.)
Anybody else have an experience like this? Ever not know that a character was actually an impression, or think that a character was based on a real person?
I think there are some real comparisons to be made between him and Jeff Lynne. And it made me think a duo album would be great. If you haven't looked into him as a solo act, I really recommend it. He's got a real DIY vibe similar to JL.
12/2, rather, whoops! About me: nice chill normal guy, 43, single. Donβt know anyone here who appreciates Lindsey/Fleetwood Mac enough. PM me if youβre actually interested with a little about yourself and your love for Lindsey.
Upvotes appreciated even if you aren't interested to help my find someone who really wants to go. Thanks!
Stevie & Lindsey,
I am old enough to know age narrows our pain tolerance for bullshit. We can loathe the ones we love.
Given the complexities of your relationship with each other, and the history you have, I can only imagine the emotion that pours through your veins when things go wrong.
However, I am here, self-appointed, on behalf of all of your fans, to ask you to both kindly stop it and make up.
Time is wasting.
You have an eternity to fly apart from each other, and only whateverβs left to make something beautiful again.
Reading recent quotes from the two of you is similar to that of two senators from opposing parties. Have you run out of love? Has this time cast itβs spell on you?
Isnβt the best part of the song the bridge?
Wouldnβt it be a better encore to finish these years in harmony?
While I love them individually, your voices have always worked best together.
Can you imagine how we will rejoice at seeing you both on stage, singing together again?
I can.
Pitter, patter.
With big love,
Brian Franklin

I'm trying to find quotes of Lindsey talking about where he learned travis picking and what music/artists inspired him to write songs with a "bouncy" alternating bass line like in Never Going Back Again, or alternate tunings like in Stephanie
Or is it now impossible to hear one without hearing the other??
