A list of puns related to "Lillian Name"
Hi! I am due in a few weeks and still undecided on a name for baby girl. My first born is Lillian Rosalie. My style is pretty "classic" though we are seriously leaning toward Rhiannon as middle (love Fleetwood Mac). Last name is pretty generic and pairs well with just about everything. I have a very common first name so I'm somewhat sensitive to super popular trendy names, and would like to avoid them. I would love something floral but not too hippy, but I haven't found one I love (regret not saving Rosalie for #2).
First name:
Penelope
Chloe
Calista
Camila
Sienna
Holly
Annabel
Middle names:
Rhiannon
Pearl
Scarlet
Hazel
Feel free to suggest anything else. Thank you!
I know this sounds like it would be googleable, but my searches are only coming up with an IMDB page for an actress named Lillian Welsh. Thank you :)
Itβs time for me to try on a new name. Please, Lillian or Lily, if you will.
Hi friends, me and my wife are not English native speakers, and we have a baby girl due in Feb, so would appreciate what do you think about Lillian or Molly as English name?
Are they too old-fashioned? Any bad association people may easily have with these names? I also heard Molly is frequently seen for dogβs name?
Thank you in advance for sharing your thoughts!
BTW, we have mostly made mind for the Chinese name, first name is 'Mengnan', last name is 'Li'. The meaning of the Mengnan is 'missing Nanjing (my wife's hometown)'. If there is any recommendations for good English name to go with 'Mengnan', we will be also really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for all the nice comments! Really appreicate it! I noticed a suggestion for 'Megan' as the English name due to its similarity to 'Mengnan'. Just a minor clarfication that, 'Mengnan' actually pronunce as 'mΙΕ - naan', which is more similar to 'Mona', although not very distinct from Megan.
I like names that start with L a lot, and my current ideas are Lennon, Lyner, and Leo but I honestly just want to find a name that fits me and any ideas are very appreciated!

A friend of mine told me that she is going to come out as non-binary, but doesn't know what name she is going to use, so she decided to try to find a Gender neutral version of her name, being Lillian, but can't find one.
Edit: They chose Lian.
I have a super unique name and my husband has a very common name. I am team unique name, but he is adamant that we can't give our child a name that is hard to spell/say.
So far we like:
Vivian (front runner)
Lillian
Isabelle (too common for me)
Finnley (he hates it, thinks Finn is a boys name)
Charlotte (doesn't go well with our last name)
Scarlett (sounds horrible with our last name).
Everly (he doesn't love it, probably too popular).
What other names would you suggest? Our last name is Russian, similar to Smirnoff which makes some S names difficult.
Thanks for any help or pointers.
Hi,
My husband and I have a little girl called Eleanor. Looking for other girl name recommendations along the lines of Eleanor, Lillian, Annelise, Emmeline. Would love names with an English/Celtic heritage, but not necessary.
Thank you!
Thank you!
The βFirst Lady of American Cinemaβ Lillian Gish has had her name removed from a university theater and itβs not sitting well with many movie buffs. More than 50 film industry leaders ranging from Martin Scorsese to Helen Mirren to James Earl Jones are protesting the decision of Ohioβs Bowling Green State University to remove the name of actress Lillian Gish from a campus theater because she appeared in the 1915 film The Birth of a Nation.
The letter accuses the university of making βa scapegoat in a broader political debate.β Lillian Gish is considered a pioneer of film acting. {snip} She was called the First Lady of American Cinema, and for more than 40 years, the theater at Bowling Green has honored Ohio-born actresses Dorothy and Lillian Gish with its name.
That changed after students said they were upset that Lillian Gish appeared in The Birth of a Nation in 1915, a D.W. Griffith 3-hour silent movie that includes the Ku Klux Klan in what many claim to be a positive light.

Hi Reddit,
My name is Lillian L. M. Shapiro and I am a postdoctoral scientist at Vanderbilt University. My research focuses on how environmental changes affect the biology of mosquitoes and the diseases they transmit.
I recently published a methods & resources study titled "Quantifying the effects of temperature on mosquito and parasite traits that determine the transmission potential of human malaria" in PLOS Biology. This work was part of my PhD studies and concerns how temperature shapes mosquito and malaria parasite traits, and how changes in these traits impact malaria transmission. We found that warmer temperatures increase the potential of malaria transmission up to about 26ΒΊC (79ΒΊF), but temperatures hotter than this may actually decrease risk, suggesting that the range where malaria can flourish could shift geographically under predicted climate change scenarios.
I will be answering your questions at 1pm ET. Ask me Anything!
EDIT: Because this AMA started a little late, I can continue answering questions (today) beyond the normal 2pm ET cutoff, I just might be a little bit slower in responding.
