So I’ve been a Buffy fan for years now and am only just now getting around to watching Angel and OH MY GOD I am OBSESSED WITH LILAH. She is truly one of the greatest female TV villains, or maybe TV villains period, that I have come across. She’s just so deliciously evil, knows it , and makes zero excuses for it. She’s a complete badass and her relationship with Wes just brought her to a whole new level. I’m so sad that she died as I feel there is so much more that could have been done with her... not saying she would have become a good guy but she easily could have fallen into that “gray” area she spoke about. Speaking of what she spoke, bitch had so many fantastic quotes!!! This post is really just a rambling mess about my love for Lilah but it simply must be said. I’ve always had a bias for female villains and she checked all of the boxes of what makes them so damn good. I feel if Angel was as popular as Buffy, Lilah would be appearing on a lot of “greatest tv villains” lists but alas she is just the buffyverse community’s little secret badass. Also it must be said that Stephanie Romanov BODIED this role and deserves a hell of a lot more recognition for it. Okay, sorry I’m done now.

I love everything about Lilah, even in the worst episode her appearance is a treat.

Season 5 removing her was a crime can't believe they replaced her with that twat Eve. At least when Lindsey was removed during season two Gavin was charming.

Currently on a rewatch and I never questioned it before but it is strange that as soon as Wesley is banished from the group in Season 3, Lilah just swoops in and goes after him. Its a little odd. I wonder if she was always attracted to him or if she really was just pursuing information and got hooked. Also why does she suddenly stop doing her hair and most of her makeup when she starts sleeping with him? Even for work. Weird.

I guess the concept didn't work

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Maybe Charisma Carpenter could have been in AtS S5 and Angel/Cordy could have continued. Maybe there'd be more money to have Juliet Landau as Drusilla in AtS S5.

The point being that David Boreanaz's salary didn't need to skyrocket for AtS S5 just because of SAG rules at the time. There'd be money for other actors.

In ways, the only interesting storyline in AtS S5 is Illyria. Without Spike/Fred or Drusilla's being around, Spike's remaining in Los Angeles rather than going to be with Buffy doesn't make sense even with the possibility that Angel will be human.

Angel has his rivalry with Spike that isn't interesting. Spike and Dru ditched Angel and Darla in 1900 C.E. after Spike killed Xin Rong (the Chinese Slayer). Drusilla next saw Angel in 1998 C.E. Spike next saw Angel in 1945 C.E. or whenever. Spike had nothing to prove regarding Angel.

Charles Gunn was corrupted by Wolfram & Hart. Okay.

Without Lilah Morgan being with Wesley, Wesley is largely just kinda there in Wolfram & Hart.

Winifred Burkle could have been trying to come up with new drugs and such to help the world. She had met Willow. I'm not sure why she didn't try to join Buffy and Co. rather than join Wolfram & Hart. I consider Spike/Fred should have happened as like a fling or whatever and then Spike/Illyria should have happened. The whole Wesley/Fred thing didn't make much sense given she had dated Gunn instead of Wes and then was dating Knox instead of Wes.
