A list of puns related to "Light Of Christ"
This would mean an act of self-sacrifice equal to the Passion but taken on earlier in time.
This is one of the most important Bible verses in scripture to help you understand what is going on. SATAN is GOD of this world. That means Jesus Christ is the Devil of this world. That's why they crucified Him!
I unfortunately can only speak as a man and not a moderator, but based on the latest revelation from the restored church of Jesus Christ, which has deprecated the use of terms like "Mormon" "Mormonism," or even "LDS," in favor of the full name of the church, or at the very least "the restored church of Jesus Christ" at a bare minimum (certainly, a compromise everyone will be able to make, right?),
I believe we should follow suit. No longer should we be called exmormons, but we should acknowledge an On-Brand identity as /r/FormerLatterdaySaints or /r/FormerMembersoftheChurchofJesusChristofLatterdaySaints. Other acceptable options include /u/No_Engineering's /r/exChurchofJesusChristofLatterdaySaints
Here are the relevant newsroom leaks. I eagerly await the domain name changes to www.restoredchurchofjesuschristnewsroom.org

(note: again, not speaking as a moderator, and speaking firmly tongue in cheek. In my not-speaking-for-moderator opinion, we're not changing anything, lol)
So, I was reading an article from 1989 on LDS.org that talked about how the Holy Ghost and the Holy Spirit were NOT the same. The Holy Ghost is a being and is referred to as βheβ. The Holy Spirit is referred to as βitβ and is the same as the Light of Christ. The light of Christ and the Holy Spirit encompass all things and the Holy Ghost uses the Holy Spirit to bring peace to us. The gift of the Holy Ghost allows us to feel the Holy Spirit and the light of Christ. My question is, is this doctrine? Is everything on LDS.org considered teachable in the church?
EDIT:
βThe link is below.. it says βthe Holy Ghost should not be confused with the Spirit [the Light of Christ] which fills the immensity of space and which is everywhere present.β
What I gather from this is that the Holy Ghost is personage and the Holy Spirit is the the same as the light of Christ.

This nearly exact quote (I might have the order mixed up, but not much else) came from a recently returned missionary who likened the contrast between the prolonged darkness of the winter months of his mission country and the fires people would light to keep warm and to ward off depression to the darkness of the world and the light of Christ / gospel.
This young adult has lived in Utah as a faithful member his entire 18 pre-mission years, yet without a doubt, he knows the world is dark, cold and confusing. What makes a person say and believe something like that?!
The world is not dark, cold and confusing - no more than anything else can be. And certainly people without Christ and even religion find ways to be involved with their family and community.
And I can certainly make a case that religion is far from having the answers to clarify life's big questions and even makes life more confusing. Religion (esp Mormonism in my experiences) is far from being warm and inviting (unless you fit the mold).
The high councilman who spoke afterward said nothing. The bishop said nothing. These words, the thesis of his talk, were unchallenged and even supported as the congregation said, "amen" when he closed his talk.
What is it that makes a reasonable person say things like this?
PS - And if someone flashes their high beams at you, check your lights!
Edit: And to clarify, in a bright daytime fog, itβs not just about whether you can see, itβs about whether or not other cars can see you, especially from behind. If you are in a light colored car without your taillights on, youβre basically invisible in the fog beyond a very short distance, and having someone drive up your ass because they didnβt see you until the last second will ruin your day.
All people are born with the light of Christ, which helps people tell right from wrong. This is why people in general tend not to commit murder, they know it is wrong.
Chastity violations are next to murder in seriousness.
Then why doesn't the the light of Christ tell the average population that premarital sex is wrong, nearly as bad as murder?
Just a quote I liked from mormon.org
Sitting next to the fire looking like an alert tiger, getting blown up in a mushroom cloud of magic and emerging unscathed, killing a giant sea monster.
The fucking luggage cracks me up
