so theres this decision called eurasian dream where you send expeditions to countries to increase legitimacy of you idea, it slowly decays and after some time the event timer ends and based on how much legitimacy i got in the end i get buffs or debuffs... and thats where the problem starts, the final event triggered and i got minor buffs BUT my legitimacy was still decreasing as though i havent finished it, and eventually i get to critical point where i got severe debuffs, and my question is this. is this supposed to always happen or is it like bug or something in that line

A though Question I had about Russian Unifiers and Hitler

While I do know that Hitler dies even before the Regional Stage of most Russian Unifiers, especially those that REQUIRE Hitler's Death to cause the German Civil War, which in turn allows them to re-unify Russia.

But let's say Hitler is in Hell or was Resurrected in 1988 (Yes fucking dumb I know, but lets Hypothesize!) and he is being interviewed.

What would be the most Likely and Probable Hitler's Reaction and Comment on some INSANE Russian Unifiers?

What would Hitler think of

  1. Sergey Taboritksy and The Holy Russian Empire?

  2. Lev Gumilyov and The State of Eurasia?

  3. Ivan Serov and The Russian National Soviet Republic?

  4. Gutrum Vagner and The Russkiy Reykh?

  5. Valery Yemelyanov/-Zigfrid Shultz/-Velimir and The Hyperborea?

  6. Konstantin Rodzaevsky and The Russian National State?

and Lastly..

  1. Dmitry Yazov and The Russian National Reclamation Government?

Now we will assume some things, Firstly, Hitler is being interviewed in either Hell or was resurrected to give his Opinions. Secondly, the Interviewer will explain to Hitler about this Russian Unifiers, either giving him a Book, Magazine, Newspapers and a TV to show him the Details of this Russian Unifiers. Thirdly lets assume this entire thing is less of a Deranged Idea and more of a Thought Question.

Interesting facts about minor characters every day until TBT gets a release date: Day 55

The dictator stans have been out in force in recent days, worshipping at the feet of a certain country's oppressive autocracy. Let's fix that with FACTS and LOGIC and PHYSICALLY RESTRAINING MYSELF FROM SAYING THE WORD DENGIST, shall we?

Yakov Agranov, Head of Government for Irkutsk at game start, was born on October 12th 1893 in Checherskaya in what is now Belarus. In 1912 he joined the Socialist-Revolutionary Party, and in 1915 joined the Bolshevik wing of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party. That same year he was arrested and exiled to "Yenisey Province", a region whose precise geography I couldn't find due to it not being a real province since the Tsarist days, but that likely corresponds to some part of the area around the Yenisey River, which notably includes the city of Irkutsk. In 1918, with the Russian Civil War in full swing, Agranov became head of the Council of People's Commissars, also known as Sovnarkom. Working directly for Lenin and Dzerzhinsky, he was tasked with overseeing the expulsion of artists, scientists, philosophers, priests, and anyone else whose free thinking got in the way of the nascent Soviet Union.

In 1921 Agranov spearheaded the investigation of the Tagantsev conspiracy, an entirely fictitious group of monarchists whose supposed presence was used to justify mass purges within Petrograd. After capturing the supposed ringleader(Vladimir Tagantsev, a geographer) Agranov tricked him into revealing the names of over 300 "co-conspirators"(in reality nothing more than intellectuals and free thinkers) under the promise that none of them would be executed and that he himself would be treated leniently. 98 of those named would later be executed, including both Tagantsev himself and Nikolay Gumilyov, an influential poet and father of Komi ultranat leader Lev Gumilyov. Most of the rest were sent to concentration camps. His work was not limited to purely civilian purges-he was involved in both the Kronstadt Rebellion(the last major uprising during the Civl War period, led by mutinous soldiers, anarchists, and average civilians that saw one to two thousand prisoners executed for having demanded free speech and truly democratic elections) and the Tambov Rebellion(a peasant rebellion begun over grain seizures so strict that they led to starvation of farmers in a manner reminiscent of the Irish Potato Famine, that would be put down using chemical warfare and see 15,000 people, mostly civilians, executed).

There's a dearth of informa

The tale of Lev

The tale of Lev. A tale of fire and passion, war and peace, labour and hardship, but most importantly eurasianism.

Gumilyov was born in 1902 a son of a soldier, he read many articles about eurasianism and soon became a fanatic, he joined the party and helped Turbetskoy. He soon became great influence of the younger eurasianists.

He can be a eurasianist reactionary leader.

And of course Just tell you all his plans, violent take over and invasion, a violent end to the Germans.

Dr. Gumilyov or: How I Learned to Stop Hating and Love Eurasia (The story of what is wrong with depiction of Gumilyov in TNO and how Eurasia should actually look like)

Dreamscripter - author of the text; Garti - editor of the text.

Let's be clear and honest, guys: the Eurasia, how it is done in TNO now, is done awfully. It is clear meme path, which is literally cartoonishly evil - and same time all that evilness is so cliche, that it is boring, like "generic evil empire β„–238". Moreover, it barely even touches real Gumilyov's views, completely ignoring both real Gumilyov's ideas and his real personality - even eurasianist rhetoric that is used now in the game is taken from Dugin instead of Gumilyov. Lev Gumilyov himself in most events looks more like a caricature, rather than real person.

All that were the reasons why I decided to write that huge post - to explain you what was real Gumilyov and his ideas, and to suggest what Eurasia truly should be in TNO

FIRST CHAPTER - Short explanation of ideas of Superethnos, Ethnogenesis and Eurasia.

SECOND CHAPTER - Short explanation of idea of Passionarity.

THIRD CHAPTER - Life of Lev Gumilyov and explanation of his character.

FOURTH CHAPTER - Basing on all previous explanations, how TNO Eurasia should look like.

FIFTH CHAPTER - Final thoughts, personal opinions and some basic ideas about gameplay.

I - The basis of his ideas

Gumilyov is most of all famous for his theories of ethnogenesis and theory of passionarity. He also was huge popularisator of cultures of central asian nations, siberian nations, of Iran, Mongolia and etc. Add to that a couple of geophysical and historical discoveries.

Gumilyov have seen ethne as groups of different scales: sub-ethnos, ethnos and superethnos (plus some additional types, like xenias - minority group inside of other ethnos, that does not assimilate and heavily keeps its culture - and etc ). What is the scale, which each ethnos reach, depends on cultural achievements they create and on how much their achievements are assimilated by other ethne around. Superethnos appears exactly like combination of common cultural traits between many ethne in one land - for example, Roman Empire was superethnos (dead already, but still leaving a lot after it): it became superethnos not just because Rome conquered lot's of land, but because all nations under their rule assimilated lot's of parts of roman culture and together created some new cultural traits - exactly those common traits which were

Did I just completely break the game?

Since my game as Burgundy ended, I continued a run I started when I first got the mod as Komi. I had put Taboritsky in power, and being very impatient, used commands to annex all of the Russian nations and unify Russia by 1962. I completed the HRE focus tree, but then got an event saying that Ivan Serov had couped the government and taken over, but after the event it changed to Ust-Sysolsk with Lev Gumilyov in power. after running for a few more days I suddenly got the WW3 notification, Germany had somehow declared war on the USA (This was still in 1962). Is there any possible explanation for this?

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Why is Russia better at handling ethnic diversity and in utilizing its minority populations than the West?

Ethnic diversity has been a fact of life in Russia for centuries. Ever since the eastward expansion the Russian state begun it came to rule ever larger number of non-Russian and non-Orthodox populations. By the twentieth century various Turkic groups, Tatars, the various ethnic groups of the Caucasus, Polish Catholics among others found themselves under a state whose core were the Orthodox East Slavic "great Russians". It can even be stated that historically, being a contiguous land empire allowed for Russia to keep its non-Russian territories and integrate them much more closely than the overseas colonial empires of the Western European powers. It can also be argued that imperial Russia had a better relationship between its Russian ethnic majority core and the minority peripheries compared to aforementioned Western European empires.

Fast forward to the modern day, we see a country that is progressively becoming less and less "ethnically" Russian. The falling rate of ethnic majorities has birthed regicidal forces in western Europe in the form of the various ideological and grassroots elements that can be collectively labeled under the "Identitarian" umbrella. To be precise, these exist in Russia as well but are far less potent. The regime under Vladimir Putin is not threatened by them the way the French regime of Emmanuel Macron is threatened in France by similar forces.

There is also no lack of powerful or famous people of mixed or minority descent, from the the ethnically Tatar miss Russia to Shoygu and Lavrov. The propaganda apparatus under Putin has successfully separated the notion of "ethnic purity" from Russian nationalism and allowed for the development of an otherwise robust civic nationalism that calms the Russian ethnic majority from rising up in ways seen in the West. To be precise, it would be wrong to simply say that this is a new thing for Russia. Russian nationalist ideologues long before Surkov have seen their country as a "Eurasian mixed breed" entity. Neither European nor Asian. Lev Gumilyov and Konstantin Leontiev are of this category. And even the ideology of the often cited in West Alexander Dugin can be easily argued to be of this fold rather than as belonging to the fold of Western Identitarians.

Present day Western European Identitariani

[Event] The Graveyard of the Proletarian

##The Graveyard of the Proletarian

The left wing of Russian politics has been crippled ever since the collapse of the USSR in 1991, and even more so now under the faux democracy of Putin's regime. Under this "guided democracy", there appears to be a major party for the left - two, actually - but it is all a ruse: these two parties, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and A Just Russia, are part of a "managed opposition" which exists within the political establishment and is allowed to exist by the Kremlin because, while they may differ on some policy issues or aesthetic differences, at the end of the day, they will support the government and regime structure. This is in contrast to the "non-systemic" or extra-parliamentary opposition, which broadly opposes Putin and the government.

Most famously, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), is known to be neither a real opposition party nor a communist party. Instead, behind a mask of Soviet nostalgia and aesthetic, the CPRF is at the very most a democratic socialist party, advocating state control of natural resources but not much else, and is in fact much more concerned with its social conservatism, fierce nationalism, and minor issues such as veterans' rights and the public image of Lenin. Indeed, party leaders such as Gennady Zyuganov are far more "Soviet" before they are "socialist", with some tenets of their ideology going so far as to adopt parts of the Eurasianist theories of Lev Gumilyov and his contemporaries, typically aligned with at the very least anti-communist ideas and often ultranationalist and far-right demagogues - especially in the so-called tendency of Neo-Eurasianism spearheaded by fascists such as Alexander Dugin.

This does not reflect a lack of will in the population or electorate for genuine left-wing policies, however. Within the CPRF, for instance, the average member, if they do subscribe to a tendency of the party or a specific ideology at all, given the large number of single-issue or niche-issue voters, supports either Marxism-Leninism and Soviet socialism or reformist social-democratic politics that, while falling short of socialism per se, still act with greater impunity to promote the redistribution of wealth and empowerment of the working class than the aesthetic populism of Zyuganov. It can also be seen in the popularity of the largest left-wing party in Russia outside of the controlled opposition - the Communist Party "Communists of Russia" (CP
